Patent number: 12361003Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure include techniques for establishing connections between entities for collaboration and potential co-innovation. In one embodiment, the present disclosure includes a search technique including an entity defined search model. A verified user may upload information into a search model to influence search results. Searching involves finding information about entities that may be good matches for potential collaboration. Searches may be performed iteratively to populate categories of information about potential target entities to determine whether a connection to such target entities may be made to pursue collaborative activities.Type: GrantFiled: May 31, 2023Date of Patent: July 15, 2025Assignee: SAP SEInventors: John Licata, Thomas Klingbeil, Lukasz Ostrowski, Benjamin Stoeckhert, Upendra Barve, Anna Zhikhareva, Marco Cigaina, Thomas Waltering

Patent number: 12315077Abstract: Embodiments implement decentralized digitalization of physical objects. A digitalization engine in the cloud, receives two dimensional (2D) image data of a physical object (e.g., pizza slice) located at a first remote location (e.g., restaurant). A local scanning rig in conjunction with an image capture device (e.g., mobile phone), creates an image file comprising the 2D image, depth information, and an identifier. The digitalization engine receives the 2D image file, stores it, and forwards the 2D image file to an image processing resource also remote from the digitalization engine. The digitalization engine then receives from the image processing resource, a three dimensional model file (e.g., created by photogrammetry) of the 2D images. The digitalization engine communicates the 3D model file for consumption (e.g., incorporation of the 3D pizza slice into a virtual menu).Type: GrantFiled: November 21, 2022Date of Patent: May 27, 2025Assignee: SAP SEInventors: Thomas Klingbeil, Sebastian Kliem, Wanja Pasternak

Publication number: 20180055283Abstract: An electric grill lighter has an electrically operated heating element that is bringable into contact with charcoal, and has a grip region for handling by a user. The grill lighter is usable without a line power connection and comprises a fan, an electric motor driving the fan, and an internal power supply for the heating element and the electric motor. A nozzle delivers air from the fan that emerges at the tip of the nozzle. The heating element is translationally displaceable such that it is displaceable between an idle position in which the heating element is inside the nozzle, and a contact position in which at least a sub-region of the heating element projects out of the tip of the nozzle and is bringable into contact with the charcoal.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 3, 2017Publication date: March 1, 2018Inventor: Thomas KLINGBEIL
