  • Patent number: 11850187
Abstract: A method is disclosed for determining a current position of an eye of a patient relative to an optical axis of a laser beam of a treatment apparatus. The method includes presetting a criterion characterizing the eye, determining a first target position of the eye relative to the optical axis, positioning a patient interface in a preset area in front of the optical axis, illuminating the eye during an approaching procedure of the patient interface to the eye, capturing a Purkinje image, which is associated with a cornea of the eye, by means of an optical capturing device during the approaching procedure, comparing the captured Purkinje image to the optical axis and determining the current position of the eye depending thereon, comparing the current position to the target position and with a deviation, outputting a control signal to a control device of the treatment apparatus.

    Assignee: SCHWIND EYE-TECH-SOLUTIONS GMBH
Inventors: Samuel Arba Mosquera, Thomas Klinner, Mario Shraiki, Nico Triefenbach

  • Patent number: 7376737
Abstract: A method of incrementing a receiver-initiated sending rate of data packets transmitted from a sender over a network receiver using Transport Control Protocol (TCP) comprising the step of sending an acknowledgement for received data packets from the receiver to the sender, wherein said acknowledgement contains an advertised window indicating the allowed sending bit rate and the step of increasing the advertised window by a maximum of one segment size per acknowledgement.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 14, 2003
Date of Patent: May 20, 2008
Assignee: Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd.
Inventors: Fernando Berzosa, Rolf Hakenberg, Thomas Klinner, Carsten Burmeister
  • Patent number: 7330426
Abstract: A method of performing Round Trip Time (RTT) measurement in a data packet receiver using a Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) for communication via a network with a sender, said method comprising the steps of sending an acknowledgement for a currently received data packet to the sender, measuring a first time instant when sending the acknowledgement, triggering at the sender the transmission of an expected data-packet, measuring a second time instant when the expected data packet is received, and calculating the round-trip time based on the measured first and second time instants.
