  • Patent number: 9531276
Abstract: A method for controlling a power source is specified. The power source comprises a first converter (1) for converting an input voltage (UE) to an intermediate circuit voltage (UZK, UZK1), an intermediate circuit capacitor (2) and a second converter (3) for converting the intermediate circuit voltage (UZK, UZK1) to an output voltage (UA). A process is being controlled at the output of the second converter (3). A digital process controller predetermines at least one parameter and/or the value thereof to control the intermediate circuit voltage (UZK, UZK1) for the first converter (1) depending on an event at the output.

  • Patent number: 6606166
Abstract: Generating a target image having a target palette from a source image. In general, in one aspect, a technique for generating from a source image a target image comprising target pixels having colors limited to colors found in a target palette includes: determining a source color of a region of the source image corresponding to a location of a target pixel; generating two or more candidate colors for the source color, where the candidate colors are in the target palette; selecting one candidate color from the two or more candidate colors; and setting a target color of the target pixel to be the selected candidate color.

  • Patent number: 5641296
Abstract: A carrier assembly connects a memory storage device with electrical equipment having a slide. The carrier assembly includes a carrier adapted for holding a memory storage device and a folding handle. The folding handle has two arms which normally extend from the carrier. Each arm has an end rotatably attached to the carrier. Each end has a cam member, a biasing member and a locking member. The handle normally stands in an upright position with respect to the carrier, but can rotate to a folded position. The cam member is attached to the end of each arm to urge against the slide to move the carrier with respect to the slide and electrically connect the memory storage device with the electrical equipment when the handle is in the folded position. The locking member attaches to each cam member and engages with the side of the carrier to lock the handle when the handle is in the folded position.

The slide is semi-permanently mounted in electrical equipment, such as a computer work station or a shoe box or a personal computer. A compatible carrier includes the electrical device mounted thereon and engages and mates with the semi-permanently mounted slide. The slide is electrically connected to the electrical equipment and the carrier is electrically connected to the slide. In addition to being physically connected to the electrical device, the carrier is electrically connected to the electrical device by means of an electrical interconnect. Additionally, the carrier includes a configuration identification switch which allows the user to assign a device identification number while the electrical device is mounted on the carrier. The device identification number is visible to the user.

  • Patent number: 5146346
Abstract: The method of displaying multitone images beginning with a grayscale original image capable of displaying a specific number of gray levels, which includes the steps of: (1) selecting a plurality of colors from the image, one for each of the multitones, each having a color value; (2) selecting a plurality of transfer functions, one for each of the selected colors; (3) converting each of the shades of gray, using the respective color values and the transfer functions, into a new color value; and (4) displaying the resultant multitone image on a video display terminal using the new color values in place of the shades of gray. The displayed image may be printed using one printing plate for each of the selected colors, and using the same transfer functions to convert the shades of gray to new gray values which are subsequently converted into halftone dots for each printing plate.
