  • Patent number: 6395163
Abstract: A process for electrolytically processing a flat perforated item, comprising the steps of: moving the item in a transport direction to a treatment station where the item is contacted with an electrolyte, continuously mechanically wiping, in the presence of one of a cathodic item and an anode, and an anodic item and a cathode, a surface of the item using means for reducing the thickness of a diffusion layer depleted in metal ions adjacent the surface of the item, which means include a wiping roller extending perpendicular to the transport direction over the entire width of the item and in contact with the item; and moving the electrolyte in a direction substantially perpendicular to a plane of the item so as to direct the electrolyte only toward the perforations in the item and to convey the electrolyte through the in the item under pressure.

  • Patent number: 4925011
Abstract: The apparatus for conveying plate-like parts, especially circuit boards, of varying thickness, comprises an upper roller and an associated lower roller between which the plate-like objects are fed, and a gear-tooth system, connecting the lower roller with the upper roller, by which the lower roller drives the upper roller. So that the apparatus operates optimally even with substantially thicker than usual objects, the gear-tooth system is structured to maintain a constant axial spacing between the lower roller and the upper roller. The upper roller with its gear teeth is mounted with an upper roller bearing in a circular arc-shaped coulisse, and the arc center point of the circular arc-shaped coulisse is positioned at a bearing center point for the lower roller, so that the radius of the circular arc-shaped coulisse corresponds to the axial spacing of the gear system. A method for conveying plate-like parts of varying thickness is also described.

  • Patent number: 4874479
Abstract: Plate shaped objects to be chemically treated in baths, are supplied from a supply stack in a horizontal position on a first station. After a predetermined number of objects has been deposited on a table of lifting device, the table is turned into a vertical position. A transporting device provided with gripper means seizes the vertically oriented object, and transports it along a structure for supporting a plurality of suspension frames to a feeding position at which the object is loaded into an assigned suspension frame. After chemical treatment of the object in the bath, the transporting device receives the object at a transfer point and returns it to a discharging station where it is turned down into a horizontal position and discharged on a take off stack.

  • Patent number: 4828878
Abstract: Objects such as for example printed circuit boards are transported for treating through a treatment container which accommodates a treating medium in a lower plane being supported by clamps of object supports, and then the object supports with the clamps are returned to a starting position in an upper plane.

  • Patent number: 4787805
Abstract: A device for bringing plate-shaped objects to and removing said objects from a suspended frame, by means of which the objects are suspended in a galvanization bath, comprises pneumatically operated suction caps engaging the objects to be galvanized and a plurality of grippers engaging a respective plate-shaped object and applying to the object a force acting in a vertical direction to lift or lower said object. The suction cups engage side surfaces of the object and secure object against a lateral tilting motion.

  • Patent number: 4783244
Abstract: A device for guiding plate-shaped objects to be electro-plated through an electro-plating bath in a container, includes a device transporting said objects to the container in a horizontal position, a device for pivoting the objects in the bath from a horizontal position about a horizontal axis so that the objects assume a position below the mirror of the bath. The pivoting device guides the objects through the container and, at the outlet thereof, pivots the objects back to the horizontal position.

  • Patent number: 4776939
Abstract: A device for electroplating electric circuit boards includes an electroplating bath and a plurality of transporting organs which hold objects to be treated when they path the electroplating bath. The transporting organs are pairs of clamping yokes arranged on a common endless rotating belt and positionable from a clamping position in which they engage the object being treated and a release position in which they release said object.

  • Patent number: 4752371
Abstract: A device for releasably-holding printed circuit boards to be galvanized in a galvanization bath comprises an elongated frame, and arrangements for holding opposite longitudinal edges of the boards on the frame. The holding arrangements are electrically conductive. The frame includes two spaced paralled subframes. Each holding arrangement includes resilient clamping springs arranged on the subframes and freely extended outwardly from each subframe and also extending into a space between the subframes to enable an insertion into and a withdrawal from the clamping springs of respective elongated edges of each printed circuit board.
