  • Patent number: 12151083
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a pierceable elastic septum for use in drug reservoirs and infusion sets, the pierceable septum comprising a first surface and a second surface. The first surface and the second surface are positioned opposite to each other. A distance between the first surface and the second surface is not constant over the first surface, and is configured such that if a higher pressure is applied to the first surface as compared to the second surface, a component of a force, which is exerted on the first surface, acts towards an axis (A) which intersects the center of the first surface and the center of the second surface.

  • Patent number: 12147907
Abstract: A method executed by a computing device includes determining to update an entigen group within a knowledge database, where the entigen group includes a set of linked entigens that represent knowledge associated with an object. The method further includes determining a set of identigens for each word of a phrase associated with the object to produce sets of identigens. The method further includes interpreting the sets of identigens to determine a most likely meaning interpretation of the phrase and produce a new entigen group. The method further includes updating the entigen group utilizing the new entigen group to produce a curated entigen group such that a deficiency of the entigen group is resolved providing more accurate and more complete knowledge of the object.

  • Patent number: 10918786
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for manufacturing a cannula unit with a cannula housing and a cannula, in which a cannula is injection molded onto a molding core pin having an outer diameter d1 to produce a cannula having a distal end with a larger outer diameter than the outer diameter of the remaining cannula, a first distal section adjoining the distal end, a second proximal section adjoining the first distal section, and a proximal end. A cannula housing is injection molded onto the distal end and the first distal section of the cannula and the molding core pin is removed from the cannula. A piercing needle with an outer diameter d4 is threaded into the cannula, wherein the diameter d4 of the piercing needle is chosen such that it is smaller than the diameter d1 of the molding core pin.

  • Publication number: 20190160258
Abstract: A cannula unit comprises a housing and a flexible cannula. The flexible cannula is provided with an end area that deviates from the shape of the rest of the flexible cannula. Said end area of the flexible cannula has, e.g., a funnel-like shape or the shape of a flange. The end area of the flexible cannula is positively locked to the housing by clamping.
