  • Patent number: 10182924
Abstract: The prosthetic joint has at least two members having each a cooperating articulating surface layer on a substrate material. At least one of said articulating surface layers comprises amorphous diamond-like carbon; or Titanium Nitrate (TiN) on a bonding layer bonded to the substrate material. The prosthetic joint provides a reduction of the number of wear debris and shows enhanced dry run properties.

  • Patent number: 8500745
Abstract: The invention relates to an aiming device (100) for boring a hole in a region of a bone (300) that lies in the vicinity of a joint. Said device consists of a U-shaped bow (110) comprising at least one contact element (120) on one end and on the other end of the bow (110) a screw spindle (130) that can be displaced in the direction of, or in the opposite direction to the contact element (120), said spindle comprising a rotary grip (132) for clamping the device (100) on the region in the vicinity of the joint. The device also comprises a bore bushing (140), which can be placed on and removed from the end comprising the contact element (120). The compression of the bone that is generated by the bow (110) is maintained after the removal of the bore bushing (140) for the insertion of the bone screw.

  • Patent number: 6209310
Abstract: In a method for monitoring the supply system (10) of a gas turbine having a multiburner system, said supply system (10) comprising at least one distribution system (15, 24), via which a pressurized medium required for operating the multiburner system is distributed to a plurality of individual burners (12, . . . , 14) opening into a combustion chamber, reliable detection and analysis of faults is achieved in that, while the gas turbine is operating, the pressure loss in the at least one distribution system (15, 24) is measured continuously, in that the measured pressure loss is compared with a desired value characteristic of the respective operating state of the gas turbine, and in that a communication is issued when the measured pressure loss deviates from the associated desired value by a predetermined value.
