  • Publication number: 20240012126
Abstract: The subject disclosure pertains to advanced driving assistance systems and autonomous driving systems for vehicles. For example, the subject disclosure provides a method that includes determining a plurality of detection points obtained by a sensor, the detection points being associated with a plurality of segments of a region of interest for the vehicle and representing objects in the plurality of segments. The method further includes, for each segment of the plurality of segments, encoding the plurality of detection points associated to the segment into a latent feature of the detection point, determining a fixed feature for the segment based on the latent features of the plurality of detection points, and encoding the fixed features of the plurality of segments to obtain a spatial correlation of static detection points among the segments, the spatial correlation of static detection points indicating a characteristic of a driving corridor for the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20230286535
Abstract: A method is provided for controlling the movement of a host vehicle. Lane data related to road items are determined from a data source, and object data acquired from objects are determined via a sensor system. The road items and the objects are located in an external environment of the host vehicle. A machine-learning algorithm is fed with the lane data and the object data to generate a set of controlling functions for controlling the movement of the host vehicle by performing the steps of: classifying a predefined set of maneuvers for the host vehicle based on the lane data and the object data, and determining a set of controlling functions related to kinematics of the host vehicle. The movement of the host vehicle is controlled based on the classified maneuvers and the determined controlling functions.

  • Publication number: 20230237814
Abstract: Computer implemented method for detecting a type of seat occupancy, comprising capturing, by means of an imaging device, an image of a seat, the image comprising depth data and intensity data, performing, by means of a processor device, a classifier algorithm on the captured image to determine a level of occupancy, wherein, if the determination indicates that the level of occupancy is above a predetermined threshold, the method comprises processing, by means of the processor device, the depth data with a convolutional neural network, to determine a type of occupation and wherein, if the determination indicates that the level of occupancy is below a predetermined threshold, the method comprises processing, by means of the processor device, the intensity data with a convolutional neural network to determine a type of occupation.

  • Publication number: 20230048926
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for predicting properties of a plurality of objects in a vicinity of a vehicle includes multiple steps that can be carried out by computer hardware components. The method includes determining a grid map representation of road-users perception data, with the road-users perception data including tracked perception results and/or untracked sensor intermediate detections. The method also includes determining a grid map representation of static environment data based on data obtained from a perception system and/or a pre-determined map. The method further includes determining the properties of the plurality of objects based on the grid map representation of road-users perception data and the grid map representation of static environment data.

  • Patent number: 8532319
Abstract: A filter bank configuration for a hearing device has filters in an analysis filter bank and corresponding filters in a synthesis filter bank that are coupled pair-wise to form a channel in each case. In order to compensate for a hearing loss, sub-band signals are amplified in the individual channels with the aid of multipliers. In the process, an audible distortion of an output signal Y of the filter bank configuration as a result of differences between amplification factors of the multipliers of neighboring channels should be prevented. Here, at least one channel changes a phase of a sub-band signal transmitted by the channel such that a difference between a group delay of the filter bank configuration and a prescribable reference value is reduced for at least one predetermined frequency. The filter bank configuration is particularly suited to hearing aids.
