  • Patent number: 11966158
Abstract: The purification of monoalkyl tin trialkoxides and monoalkyl tin triamides are described using fractional distillation and/or ultrafiltration. The purified compositions are useful as radiation sensitive patterning compositions or precursors thereof. The fractional distillation process has been found to be effective for the removal of metal impurities down to very low levels. The ultrafiltration processes have been found to be effective at removal of fine particulates. Commercially practical processing techniques are described.

  • Patent number: 11911064
Abstract: A surgical instrument includes an end effector having a clamp arm pivotable relative to an ultrasonic blade, an articulation section configured to deflect the end effector, an acoustic waveguide having a distal portion extending along an axis, a clamp arm closure assembly comprising a body configured to actuate in order to drive the pivoting of the clamp arm, and a clamp arm clocking assembly. The clamp arm clocking assembly is capable of driving rotation of the clamp arm about the axis relative to the ultrasonic blade between a first clocked position and a second clocked position. The clamp arm clocking assembly includes a rotating body pivotally coupled with the clamp arm, a translating drive extending through the articulation section, and a rotation driver assembly. The rotation driver is in communication with the translating driver in order to convert translational motion of the translating driver into rotational motion of the rotating body.

  • Patent number: 6776349
Abstract: A damper for allowing some degree of air flow (winter ventilation) through a roof mounted, conduit to aid in preventing the growth of black mold in an attic while aiding in heat retention during colder periods of the year. The low profile damper is comprised of a housing having a plurality of louvers pivotably mounted therein. A linkage strip interconnects the louvers together whereby a bimetal coil move the louvers in unison between their open and closed positions in response to temperature. The damper includes an air flow selector means that allows a “selected” closed position to be selected at which a predetermine volume of air is allowed to flow through the damper.

  • Patent number: 6582291
Abstract: A roof-mounted wind turbine includes turbine vanes that are linear-shaped and do not have the conventional convex curvature. Additionally, the turbine vanes are made in common with one another or with a common turbine component, so that each vane does not require individual handling nor individual attachment to the turbine assembly as is required in the construction of conventional wind turbines that are commercially available today. This is accomplished by producing the vanes by molding or extruding techniques that are commonly used in making plastic assemblies or components.

  • Patent number: 4979922
Abstract: A flying saucer capable of skipping on fluids is provided. The flying saucer includes a conventional flying saucer disk having a substantially circular dome-shaped body and downwardly extending rim at the periphery of the body. A substantially circular insert is positioned inside the rim proximate the interior surface of the dome-shaped body. The insert has a lower surface substantially flush with the lowest edge of said rim and the lower surface of the insert is provided with at least one recess which may be grasped to facilitate throwing the saucer. When the insert strikes a fluid surface such as water or snow as the saucer lands, the saucer skips on the fluid surface.

  • Patent number: 4754343
Abstract: A low cost easy use alignment device is used to perform radial alignment of a read/write head in a floppy disk drive of a personal computer. The computer holds the read/write head at the alignment track of a special alignment disk. The alignment track as well as the outermost track and an inner track contain all binary "1" bits while all other tracks contain no data. The alignment device contains an amplifier to amplify the signal read by the read/write head. The signal is detected at the output of the first read amplification stage of the disk drive. The alignment device amplifier signal is displayed on an indicator. A dot/bar display driver with light emitting diodes connected to the outputs is used as an indicator. The stepper motor or head carriage assembly is moved to maximize the indicator signal which corresponds to the optimum radial alignment of the read/write head.
