  • Patent number: 11806484
Abstract: A catheter configured to provide a delivery system for standard interventional devices and for rapid localized deep cooling to organs at risk of ischemia-reperfusion injury during procedures such as intracranial thrombectomy or emergency thrombectomy. The catheter is comprised of an insulative shaft with a multi-component braided outer lumen and an internal floating inner lumen with a plurality of structures configured to minimize contact and resulting heat transfer between the two lumens.

  • Publication number: 20220280384
Abstract: An apparatus and its method of use for the treatment of patients by the delivery of a temperature-controlled material. The apparatus and its method of use can be performed in conjunction with endoscopic ultrasound interventional procedures such as tumor imaging or biopsy. The apparatus can be integrated with the working channel of endoscopic ultrasound devices or other imaging devices (bronchoscope, colonoscope) or can operate as a stand-alone apparatus.

  • Patent number: 7465558
Abstract: A system and method for high throughput patch clamp measurements to study the effect of various chemicals on ion transfer channels is provided. One or more patch clamp configurations is established, each comprising a cell sealed to a pipette. The pipettes are affixed to a pipette fixture. The pipette fixture and a plate comprising one or more wells are relatively moved so that each cell is inside a well. Electrical properties of the cells are measured.

  • Patent number: 7211066
Abstract: Catheters for treating body fluids, particularly blood, include one or more tubes through which a working fluid is circulated. The fluid characteristics, e.g., temperature or drug content, interact with the body fluid by transfer through the tube walls. For enhancing the efficiency of such transfer, energy is added to the body fluid where it contacts the tube outer surfaces for reducing the thickness of thermal and concentration boundary layers at the tube surfaces. The energy adding is accomplished by causing pulsations in the walls of the tubes, or in the dimensions of a balloon parallel to the tubes, by means of pressure pulsations in the fluids circulated through the tubes and/or the balloon. Systems are disclosed for providing and controlling the circulation of various fluids and drugs through the catheter.
