  • Patent number: 4518276
Abstract: Devices have been used to compensate for misalignment between adjacent members and establish subsequent aligned assembly. These devices used tight tolerance, compound eccentric bushings or offset frusto-conical surface in attempting to provide a fixed aligned position. These devices are expensive and difficult to align. The subject bolt-on dowel provides a simple inexpensive solution to positioning of a first member relative to a second member. The bolt-on dowel includes a cylindrical spacer slidably fitted within a bore of the first member with the first end being in abutment with the second member, and a fastening member securing the spacer to the second member in a fixed position.

  • Patent number: 4025094
Abstract: A latch assembly is disclosed which is operative to retain a movable closure member in position with respect to an adjacent fixed wall member, and includes a handle member pivotally mounted to the closure member with an arm extending generally along the handle member beyond the pivotal mounting thereof for engaging the fixed wall member at one end thereof. An adjustable member is mounted on the end of the arm for adjusting the engagement of the end of the arm with respect to the wall member. An overcenter tension member is pivotally connected at one end to the closure member and the other end to the arm for biasing the arm into tight engagement with the fixed wall member when the latch is in the latched position.

  • Patent number: 3980132
Abstract: Heat exchanger having a self-adjusting snap-on fan shroud. The shroud defines a one-piece element having integral mounting structure for snap-on mounting to the heat exchanger and biasing structure for urging the shroud to a preselected centered position relative to the fan. The shroud may be formed of molded synthetic resin. The heat exchanger may be provided with securing bolts with the shroud mounting structure being adapted to loosely embrace the bolts in the snapped-on arrangement of the shroud.

  • Patent number: T971002
Abstract: in a system including a first member and a second member movable relative the first member, an adjustable nozzle element is included. The nozzle directs pressurized fluid such as a lubricant or coolant delivered to the first member outwardly in a range of possible directions to impact the second member.
