  • Publication number: 20230372660
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for a valve shut-off system of a medical device. In one embodiment, the valve shut-off system of the medical device includes a first pin movable between a first position where a valve is opened and a second position where the valve is closed, the first pin including a slot, and a second pin having a mating geometry with the slot of the first pin, the second pin adjustable between a locked position that holds the first pin in the first position and an unlocked position that enables movement of the first pin between the first position and the second position.

  • Patent number: 11554231
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for anesthetic agent leakage diagnostics. In one embodiment, a method for diagnosing leaks in an anesthetic vaporizer includes calculating a leakage rate based on measurements of an anesthetic agent level in a sump of the anesthetic vaporizer, the measurements received from a fluid level sensor at a first time and a second time, and outputting a maintenance alert responsive to the leakage rate exceeding a threshold.

  • Patent number: 11197973
Abstract: An anesthetic vaporizer system includes a reservoir containing anesthetic agent, an agent level sensor measuring an agent level of the anesthetic agent in the reservoir, a display, and a controller. The controller is configured to receive agent level measurements from the agent level sensor over a time period, and determine the anesthetic agent is being added to the reservoir from an agent source based on the agent level measurements over the time period. A filling status is determined based on the agent level measurements and a filling status indicator is displayed based on the determined filling status.

  • Patent number: 10987475
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for delivering anesthetic agent to a patient. In one embodiment, a system includes an anesthetic agent reservoir, a pump fluidically coupled to the agent reservoir, an injector configured to receive pressurized anesthetic agent from the pump, a vaporizer comprising a heated chamber configured to receive and vaporize the anesthetic agent injected by the injector and supply a mix of the vaporized anesthetic agent and medical gas to a subject via a supply line, and a controller. The controller stores instructions executable to determine a concentration of the vaporized anesthetic agent in the mix and adjust one or more injector parameters based on a difference between the concentration of the vaporized anesthetic agent and a commanded concentration.
