  • Patent number: 11953262
Abstract: A recyclable, thermally insulated shipping container is entirely constructed from organic fiber materials in such a manner that the container is curbside recyclable without separation of component materials. The container includes a corrugated cardboard outer box having a bottom wall, a plurality of sidewalls and a top wall, a corrugated cardboard inner liner assembly comprising a corrugated cardboard inner box having a bottom wall and a plurality of sidewalls, and a corrugated cardboard lid assembly. The outer box, inner liner assembly and lid assembly cooperate to create a plurality of thermally insulated cavities which are filled and uniformly packed with predetermined volumes of loose-fill cellulose (organic fiber) insulation to create a predetermined insulating value. The container provides a fully insulated six-sided product cavity to receive a temperature-controlled product. A portion of the product cavity may be filled with a PCM or other thermal media to provide a consistent temperature profile.

  • Publication number: 20220134013
Abstract: Medication delivery devices are provided having a sensor in the form of a switch having a conductive pad and a cantilevered arm that is moveable toward and away from the conductive pad. Contact between the cantilevered arm and the conductive pad changes the state of the switch, while lack of contact between the cantilevered arm and the conductive pad changes the state of the switch. The switch may be used to sense dosage of medication delivered during dose delivery. The switch may interact with a rotating component having a plurality of teeth that slide against the cantilevered arm during dose delivery.

  • Publication number: 20220118194
Abstract: Medication delivery devices are provided having a dose delivery sensing capability. A dose button includes a support and a cover that at least partially encloses an electronics assembly including a sensor for detecting rotation of a component during dose delivery to determine a dosage of delivered medication. The electronics assembly includes a controller for receiving a signal from the sensor. The medication delivery device may be configured to communicate dosage delivery information to an external device.

  • Publication number: 20220008757
Abstract: A face mask having a positive air flow by use of an attached portable air purification unit. The device is used to filter and purify inhaled air, making it easier for individuals to comfortably wear a face mask for public health and safety. An outtake filter inhibits contaminated air from being expelled by the mask wearer. The portable air purifier is powered by means of rechargeable battery power using a USB connector, allowing static or dynamic use.

  • Patent number: 9586756
Abstract: A weighing system for a waste-hauling vehicle having a front end loader with at least two arms for lifting a waste container, the weighing system comprising: an extensometer mounted on at least one arm of the front end loader, the extensometer secured to separate extensometer mounts so that the extensometer is operative to detect deflections in the front end loader arm in response to loads of varying weights; and a vehicle data hub in communication with the extensometer, the vehicle data hub operative to receive inputs from the extensometer and determine therefrom: (i) the weight of a waste container containing waste as the waste container is lifted by the front end loader for emptying into a waste receptacle on the vehicle; (ii) the weight of the waste container as it is lowered by the front end loader after the waste container has been emptied into the waste receptacle on the vehicle; and (iii) the net weight of the waste that was contained in the container.
