  • Publication number: 20240051347
Abstract: The surface state of the treads of tires cured in a vulcanization mold manufactured by 3D printing represents an optimal compromise between cost, appearance, and grip performance of the tire. The texture is formed by an arrangement of contiguous elements of pyramidal shape, each element of pyramidal shape having a base of parallelogram type positioned on the tread surface, and an apex situated at a normal distance H from the base in the range 0.15 mm to 0.5 mm.

  • Publication number: 20230391033
Abstract: Tyre curing mould (20) comprising two shells (21) that are each intended to mould a sidewall of the tyre and a ring of sectors (22) that are intended to mould a tread of the tyre, each sector (22) having a lining (23) and two arc-shaped segments (27). According to the invention, each segment (27) is arranged so as to fill a clearance at an interface between the lining (23) and a shell (21), and so as to not be coincident with a moulding surface (24) of the curing mould.

  • Patent number: 10532497
Abstract: A mould (10) for a tire, comprising two shells (30) that are each intended to mould a lateral sidewall of the tire, a ring of sectors (20) intended to mould a tread of the tire, each sector (20) of the ring of sectors comprising a radially inner face (21) having a moulding lining (22). The mould (10) has microstructures (50) that are designed to fill a clearance between two moulding linings (22) of adjacent sectors (20) and/or between a moulding lining (22) of one sector (20) and a shell (30), when the mould is closed.
