  • Publication number: 20230124510
Abstract: A granulated nutritional supplement dispensing machine extracts single-serving doses from a multi-serving supplements cartridge for delivery as a drinkable solution. A lead serving chamber is pierced so that its powered contents drain into a mixing cup together with a metered quantity of water from an integrated water tank. A vibrator unit assists drainage of the granulated materials from the lead serving chamber. The mixing cup is rotated at high speed to blend the water and supplements into a slurry. The supplements cartridge is indexed after (or before) use so that an unopened serving chamber is presented each time for extracting its supplements. This enables partially-used supplements cartridges to be used in the machine, as is conducive in multiple-user households. The supplements cartridge is configured with read-write data capability to indicate whether or not the contents of each serving chamber have been emptied.

  • Publication number: 20200239643
Abstract: The disclosed embodiments include a blend of bison fibers, another fiber, and adhesives. The bison fibers are sheared from a bison, scoured, dehaired, blended with various other fibers and/or compositions, carded, and manufactured into insulation. The bison hairs can be categorized by diameter into one of four categories: prime, drop A, drop B, or drop C. Furthermore, bison fiber can be categorized based on length, coarseness, weight, and/or where on the bison it was sheared from. The insulation can be batted, woven, knit, loose, and/or other similar types. The insulation can be used for garments, outdoor equipment, bedding products, and/or other products. The weight of the insulation can be between 40 grams per square meter and 500 grams per square meter. The bison fiber can be blended with recycled polyester, bison fiber, wool, bast fiber, cellulose fiber, and/or synthetic fiber. The adhesives can be low-melt poly, or resin.

  • Patent number: 10252843
Abstract: An indexable dispenser extracts single-serving doses from a multi-serving supplements cartridge for delivery as a drinkable solution. The indexable dispenser includes a lance that punctures one serving chamber at a time so that its granulated contents can be drained into a mixing cup. The lance is attached to a rotatable flap, along with a spur. The spur punctures a membrane covering a marker zone when the flap is closed to enable machine readability. The granulated supplements are mixed with water before consumption. The indexable dispenser is configured with a dispensing window to reveal only one serving chamber at a time. The supplements cartridge is manually positioned so that an unopened serving chamber is presented in the dispensing window each time for extracting its supplements. The mixing cup may be collapsible, and together with a cap, stored in a cavity of the supplements cartridge for travel.

  • Patent number: 8430313
Abstract: A hand controller for controlling an electro-optic sensor of a weapons system may include a first cam/spring mechanism configured to provide non-linear displacement to an operator applying a torque to rotate the hand controller in a first direction. A second cam/spring mechanism may be configured to provide non-linear displacement to an operator applying a torque to rotate the hand controller in a second direction. A first sensor may be configured to sense torque being applied in the first direction and to generate a command signal to control rotation of the electro-optic sensor in the first direction. A second sensor may be configured to sense torque being applied in the second direction and to generate a command signal to control rotation of the electro-optic sensor in the second direction. The command signals may be substantially mathematically proportional rate command signals with respect to applied torque.
