  • Publication number: 20100196637
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing fibre-reinforced hollow bodies comprising integrally formed elements in a hollow mould. A fibre mat is laminated in two halves of the hollow mould, which respectively form the negative mould for the fibre-reinforced hollow bodies comprising integrally formed elements to be produced, and, once the two halves of the thus lined hollow mould have been connected, the fibre mat is pressed into the hollow mould under pressure in a form-fitting manner. The invention also relates to products produced according to the inventive method.

  • Publication number: 20090213866
Abstract: A data communication system having a plurality of input/output ports, a first group and a second group of switching units. Each switching unit has a plurality of input/output interfaces, whereby at least one of the plurality of input/output interfaces of each switching unit of the first group forms an input/output port of the communications system, and at least one other input/output interface of each of the switching units of the first group is connected via a communication link with an input/output interface of one of the switching units of the second group, so that a network is formed having at least one loop. The network is logically divided in at least two virtual subnetworks, each forming a spanning tree. Each switching unit of the first group is configured to assign an incoming data packet arriving at a particular input/output port to a predetermined one of the at least two virtual sub-networks.

  • Publication number: 20060248872
Abstract: A gasification power plant 10 includes a compressor 32 producing a compressed air flow 36, an air separation unit 22 producing a nitrogen flow 44, a gasifier 14 producing a primary fuel flow 28 and a secondary fuel source 60 providing a secondary fuel flow 62. The plant also includes a catalytic combustor 12 combining the nitrogen flow and a combustor portion 38 of the compressed air flow to form a diluted air flow 39 and combining at least one of the primary fuel flow and secondary fuel flow and a mixer portion 78 of the diluted air flow to produce a combustible mixture 80. A catalytic element 64 of the combustor 12 separately receives the combustible mixture and a backside cooling portion 84 of the diluted air flow and allows the mixture and the heated flow to produce a hot combustion gas 46 provided to a turbine 48. When fueled with the secondary fuel flow, nitrogen is not combined with the combustor portion.

  • Publication number: 20050201906
Abstract: A catalytic combustor (14) includes a first catalytic stage (30), a second catalytic stage (40), and an oxidation completion stage (49). The first catalytic stage receives an oxidizer (e.g., 20) and a fuel (26) and discharges a partially oxidized fuel/oxidizer mixture (36). The second catalytic stage receives the partially oxidized fuel/oxidizer mixture and further oxidizes the mixture. The second catalytic stage may include a passageway (47) for conducting a bypass portion (46) of the mixture past a catalyst (e.g., 41) disposed therein. The second catalytic stage may have an outlet temperature elevated sufficiently to complete oxidation of the mixture without using a separate ignition source. The oxidation completion stage is disposed downstream of the second catalytic stage and may recombine the bypass portion with a catalyst exposed portion (48) of the mixture and complete oxidation of the mixture.

  • Publication number: 20050188702
Abstract: A gas turbine engine combustor (26) including a primary combustion chamber (28), a mixer element (34), a mixing chamber (46) and a secondary combustion chamber (48). The primary combustion chamber receives a fuel oxidizer mixture flow (22) and discharges a partially oxidized mixture flow (32). The mixer element includes a plurality of flow channels (36, 38) for separating the partially oxidized mixture from a flow of an oxidizer (24) and producing a plurality of partially oxidized mixture flows interspersed with a plurality of oxidizer fluid flows. The mixer element may include a plurality of tubes (62) retained by an upstream tubesheet (70) and a downstream tubesheet (76). The mixer element may function as a heat exchanger to heat the oxidizer fluid flow and to cool the partially oxidized mixture flow upstream of the post-mixing chamber.
