  • Publication number: 20240119133
Abstract: Techniques described herein relate to authorization between integrated cloud products. An example includes receiving, by a computing device and from a first resource, a first request for permission to access a certificate to verify a requestor's identity. The computing device can transmit a second request to a second resource to authorize permitting access to the certificate. The computing device can receive a response from the second resource comprising an authorization to permit access to the certificate. The computing device can grant permission to the first resource to access the certificate, wherein the first resource is configured to verify the requestor's identity based on accessing the certificate. The computing device can receive a third request from the first resource to generate an association object between the first resource and the certificate. The computing device can generate the association object, wherein the association object associates the first resource and the certificate.

  • Publication number: 20240106853
Abstract: Techniques are described for improving real-time application protection (RTAP) systems (e.g., web application firewalls (WAFs), runtime application self-protection (RASP) systems). In particular, a device within a trusted network may monitor or test the configuration settings of the RTAP systems, network traffic into the RTAP systems, and/or log information from the RTAP systems. For example, the device may detect drift in a configuration for a particular RTAP system by comparing the configuration settings of the RTAP systems to baseline configuration settings and classifying any detected drift as good drift or bad drift. In some examples, the device may maintain the configuration settings or set the configuration settings as the baseline configuration settings when the configurations settings include good drift from the baseline configuration settings. In other examples, the device may set the configuration settings with the bad drift to the baseline configuration settings.

  • Patent number: 11537419
Abstract: Disclosed is a source host including a processor. The processor operates a virtual machine (VM) to communicate network traffic over a communication link. The processor also initiates migration of the VM to a destination host. The processor also suspends the VM during migration of the VM to the destination host. The source host also includes a live migration circuit coupled to the processor. The live migration circuit manages a session associated with the communication link while the VM is suspended during migration. The live migration circuit buffers changes to a session state and transfers the buffered session state changes to the destination host for replay after the VM is reactivated on the destination host. The live migration circuit keeps the sessions alive during migration to alleviate connection losses.

  • Publication number: 20190045000
Abstract: Technologies for load-aware traffic steering include a compute device that includes a multi-homed network interface controller (NIC) with a plurality of NICs. The compute device determines a target virtual network function (VNF) of a plurality of VNFs to perform a processing operation on a network packet. The compute device further identifies a first steering point of a first NIC to steer the received network packet to virtual machines (VMs) associated with the target VNF and retrieves a resource utilization metric that corresponds to a usage level of a component of the compute device used by the VMs to process the network packet. Additionally, the compute device determines whether the resource utilization metric indicates a potential overload condition and provides a steering instruction to a second steering point of a second NIC that is usable to redirect the network traffic to the other VMs via the identified second steering point.

  • Publication number: 20180229871
Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus and method for controlling the height of a clip of sheet material that is independent from the other steps of the manufacturing, converting and packaging operations. The invention comprises introducing positive pressure air flow after the clip has been at least partially inserted into a carton. Positive pressure air flow is provided in a direction substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the clip and transverse to the cut end of the sheet causing the clip to increase in height. The degree of increase may be controlled by controlling the positive air pressure, while the carton acts as a restraint for the clip.

  • Publication number: 20170364976
Abstract: A computer system having a network of computers configured to assist in order fulfillment and retail sales is disclosed. In one embodiment, consumer application devices with location awareness interact with an Internet based server side (e.g., Portal, Cloud Server, etc.) to identify product offerings available based on location of the consumer application device (Proximity Based Offerings). Consumers may query offerings from Food Service Operators (FSOs) or other merchants and request purchase capabilities for offerings made available through the FSO/merchant existing supply chain. FSOs/merchants may control proximity parameters for product offerings. FSOs may allow multiple services for their customers rather than being only a provider of prepared meals.

Abstract: Improvements in a urinal drip pan. The drip pan has pivotal arm, a collection tray and a pouring spout to empty the collection tray. The collection tray provides an enlarged area outside of a urinal to collect any drippings that coming from the person urinating that does not remain within the urinal. The pivotal arms provide a controlled rotational path for the collection tray to be emptied in the urinal. The arm locking positions are elongated slots that reduce a potential for the collection tray to tip when kicked or if a person steps on a corner or side of the collection tray. The collection tray has elevated ribs to keep feet or shoes out of fluid that can be present in the bottom of the collection tray.
