  • Publication number: 20210311048
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for diagnosis of an autoimmune disease in a subject wherein, presence or absence of an anti-CXC chemokine receptor (CXCR) antibody is detected in a sample from the subject diagnosed, and wherein the presence of an anti-CXCR antibody is indicative of the disease. The invention further relates to the use of (auto)antibodies against the C—X—C chemokine receptor type 3 (CXCR3) as a prognostic marker in subjects with acute graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), particularly in subjects with high grade acute GVHD. The invention also relates to the use of C—X—C chemokines selected from the group consisting of CXCL4, CXCL9, CXCL10 and CXCL11, preferably CXCL9, as a prognostic marker in subjects with acute GVHD, particularly in subjects with high grade acute GVHD.

  • Publication number: 20200368211
Abstract: The present invention relates to compositions for the treatment of a malignant disease and in particular to compositions comprising an NF-?B inhibitor and a ?-glutamyltransferase (?-GT) inhibitor and therapeutic uses thereof. The invention further relates to in vitro methods of testing putative anti-tumour agents for their potential to act as therapeutically effective anti-tumour agents in vivo. Embodiments of the invention have been particularly developed for bringing NF-?B inhibitors to the clinic such as to provide alternative therapeutic options in the treatment of malignant diseases and will be described hereinafter with reference to this application. However, it will be appreciated that the invention is not limited to this particular field of use.

  • Publication number: 20130019631
Abstract: A food product dispenser has removably-mounted self-aligning and self-orienting e.g. trapezoidal or triangular legs which, when mounted to the dispenser, tilt the top frontwardly, and/or a lid, hinged at the rear of the receptacle, which can be converted between a self-closing lid and a lid which is not self-closing and which can be retained open by gravity, including while the dispenser is in the frontwardly-tilted orientation. The dispenser tilting frontward such that a first imaginary plane extending across the receptacle, rear to front, at the top of the receptacle, intersects a second imaginary plane extending through the bottoms of the legs, in front of the receptacle, the hinge structure, the lid, and the receptacle as a whole, including the legs, cooperate to enable the lid to be opened at a sufficiently great angle relative to the tilted top of the receptacle, that the lid can be held open by gravity.

  • Publication number: 20130020330
Abstract: A food product dispenser has a hinged lid which can be converted between a self-closing lid and a lid which is not self-closing and, in the non-self-closing configuration, can be retained open by gravity, including while the dispenser is in a frontwardly-tilted orientation. The invention includes methods of making the lid conversion while setting up the dispenser, illustratively by inspecting one or all of the hinge structures and adding a hinge stop to a hinge structure, or removing a hinge stop from the hinge structure, in light of the result of the inspection. An optional frontwardly-disposed down panel may have a planar surface or surface element which can be printed with graphics and/or a textual message.

  • Patent number: 7025387
Abstract: The connection device (101, 201) according to the invention has a locking head (109, 209) that can be locked to an opening (8) of a container wall (3). A clamping device (123, 223) is also provided on the corresponding coupling piece (5), which serves to tighten the head (109, 209) locked to the container wall (3) without a rotational movement against the container wall (3). The clamping device (123, 223) can be designed as a wedge-clamping device (142, 242). The latter permits generation of large clamping forces with small operating forces. The clamping device (142, 242) is preferably secured by a locking device (253), so that vibration-proof connection resistant to temperature changes is achieved during simple assembly.

  • Patent number: 7017949
Abstract: A flexible corrugated hose fitting, which is particularly provided for high-pressure installations, such as air conditioning installations using CO2 as the refrigerant, has a connecting element, which can be snapped together with the interior corrugated pipe of the flexible corrugated hose. In addition, the connecting element has sealing elements, which come into sealing contact with the corrugated pipe. Following the area receiving the sealing elements, the connecting element has a cone, which is used as a clamping section. An exterior squeeze ring, or other squeeze element, is used for pressing the exposed end of the corrugated pipe against the clamping section. A pressing sleeve is used for pressing, which drives the squeeze ring by a wedge effect inward. It has an appropriate conical interior surface. The squeeze ring moreover extends over the sheathing. For further securing of the connection, the pressing sleeve can be pressed together here with the sheathing by an appropriate deformation.

  • Publication number: 20040093726
Abstract: A plug-in line connector (1) for especially simple and secure assembly has a fluid-tight plug-in connection and a locking device (25), which is very easy to access when its retaining parts are assembled in the axial direction and which is locked so that it cannot be released by passing a locking point. A tension spring, which is formed as a ring and acts as a block, is used for the locking element. This guarantees particularly low activation forces and minimizes axial play.

  • Patent number: 6530604
Abstract: A coupling arrangement connects two elements with each other. The coupling arrangement includes a plug element and a bushing element which are configured in such a manner that they can be plugged together and locked in position by means of an expandable retaining ring. An axially movable release arrangement cooperates with the retaining ring in order to release the locking mechanism. The coupling arrangement is characterized in that the release arrangement (41) comprises a release sleeve (43), which can be closed with a cover (51) on its side facing away from the bushing element (5), and that a blocking device (55) is used to prevent an inadvertent release of the coupling.
