  • Patent number: 5335889
Abstract: A bracket serving as a sign support by providing a leg and a foot with a multiple of retainers carried by the leg and foot for holding the sign in a vertical orientation.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 12, 1993
Date of Patent: August 9, 1994
    Assignee: Hall Signs, Inc.
Inventors: Thomas M. Hopkins, Larry W. Hall
  • Patent number: 4799995
Abstract: Inhibition of calcium scale under the extreme temperature conditions found in pulp digesters has been accomplished by employing certain mixtures of polaminopoly(alkylenephosphonic acids) together with nonionic surfactants. Diethylenetriaminepenta(methylenephosphonic acid) together with a polyethoxynonylphenol has been found especially effective for the purpose.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 29, 1987
Date of Patent: January 24, 1989
    Assignee: The Dow Chemical Company
Inventors: Druce K. Crump, Lance A. Cooper, Thomas M. Hopkins
  • Patent number: 4683076
Abstract: Process for removing H.sub.2 S from the exhaust steam in a geothermal power plant wherein the H.sub.2 S containing steam is contacted with an aqueous solution containing a ferric chelate and a cationic polymeric catalyst such as poly dimethyl diallyl ammonium chloride. The conversion of H.sub.2 S to sulfur is accelerated by the use of a small amount of the catalyst.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 4, 1986
Date of Patent: July 28, 1987
    Assignee: The Dow Chemical Company
Inventors: Robert D. Lampton, Jr., Thomas M. Hopkins, II
