  • Patent number: 11245595
Abstract: An apparatus, system, and method to manage user interfaces within a network, such as a wireless network at least partially included within a hazardous area. The method includes creating an application user interface based upon data content included within a single application binary file, serving the application user interface, creating a device user interface based upon data content included within a single device binary file, and serving the device user interface, in which the data content of the single application binary file and the data content of the single device binary file are identical. Additionally or alternatively, the method includes sending the single device binary file to an application computer through a serial connection to create an application user interface, in which the device user interface and the application user interface are configured to be identical.

  • Patent number: 10116158
Abstract: A power management system to manage energy sources for use with an energy-powered component includes an energy source detector to determine, between a first and a second of the energy sources, which has a lower state-of-charge and which has a higher state-of-charge, a controller to designate the energy source with the lower state-of-charge as a primary energy source and the other energy source as a secondary energy source, and an energy source selector to selectively enable the primary energy source to provide power to the energy-powered component.

  • Publication number: 20150253857
Abstract: A control apparatus includes an explosion proof enclosure comprising a protective glass window, a user-viewable display positioned within the enclosure, an infrared transmitter positioned within the enclosure to transmit a transmitted infrared light signal out of the enclosure through the protective glass window, and an infrared receiver positioned within the enclosure to receive a reflected infrared light signal in through the protective glass window, the reflected infrared light signal comprising a reflection of the transmitted infrared light signal corresponding to a gesture from a user. The control apparatus further includes a processing unit positioned within the enclosure to process a signal corresponding to the reflected infrared light signal and send a corresponding control signal to a control function for the apparatus.
