Patent number: 11792459Abstract: Systems and methods presented herein provide for Content On Demand (COD) asset insertion. A COD asset insertion decision system (CODAID) is communicatively coupled to a content distributer to process information about COD content selections by Customer Premises Equipment (CPEs). An auction system is communicatively coupled to the CODAID and to a plurality of asset providers to process information about assets of the providers, to provide an auction for asset opportunities in the COD content selections, to receive bids for the asset opportunities, and to rank the auctioned assets according to bid. The CODAID further ranks the auctioned assets based in part on the COD content selection information and the asset information, identifies one or more of the further ranked assets for insertion into the COD content selection, and directs the content distributer to insert the identified one or more further ranked assets into the COD content selection.Type: GrantFiled: February 25, 2022Date of Patent: October 17, 2023Assignee: canoe Ventures, LLCInventors: Jason Canney, Joel Hassell, Sid Gregory, Tom Huber, Chris Pizzurro, Steve Markel, Jonathan E Farb, Thomas M Moretto, Bruce C Dilger, Timothy R Whitton, Christopher M Rippe

Patent number: 11252473Abstract: Systems and methods presented herein provide for conflict resolution of assets selected for insertion into COD content. In one embodiment, the system includes an interface operable to process a request for asset insertion into the COD content selection. The system also includes an asset conflict resolution module operable to identify asset timeslots within the COD content selection from the request, to evaluate the assets to determine conflicts among the assets, to remove conflicting assets, and to select at least a portion of the remaining assets for insertion in the asset timeslots of the COD content selection. For example, the asset conflict resolution module may determine that conflicts exist between certain assets based on various identifiers associated with the assets and/or content such that the conflicts between the assets may be resolved with the removal of one or more of the assets from potential asset insertion selection.Type: GrantFiled: January 23, 2020Date of Patent: February 15, 2022Assignee: Canoe Ventures, LLCInventors: Jonathan E. Patent number: 10463346Abstract: Provided is a non-invasive system and method for determining a target glycogen score value for a target muscle and potentially at least one indicator muscle. The method includes receiving an ultrasound scan of a target muscle; evaluating at least a portion of the ultrasound scan to determine glycogen store value within the target muscle; recording the determined glycogen store value for the muscle as an element of a glycogen value data set for the muscle; evaluating the glycogen value data set to determine a value range; and in response to the range being at least above a pre-determined threshold, establishing a target score for the muscle as based on an upper portion of the value range. The method may be repeated to identify ranges for a plurality of muscles, the muscle with the greatest range being identified as an indicator muscle. An associated system is also disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: April 18, 2016Date of Patent: November 5, 2019Assignee: MuscleSound, Inc.Inventors: John C Hill, Pierre Sarnow, Thomas M. Patent number: 10028700Abstract: Provided is a non-invasive system and method of determining human body fat based on image processing. The method includes receiving at least one ultrasound scan image of at least a portion of a skin layer as disposed above one or more additional tissue layers, the skin layer defining a horizontal axis and the image provided by a plurality of pixels. The method continues by horizontally blurring the pixels of the image and thresholding the pixels of the image to provide a binary image having a plurality of elements of different sizes. The method continues with morphing the structural elements of the binary image to remove small elements and connect large elements. With this resulting image, the method distinguishes a body fat layer from the remaining elements and determines the body fat layer thickness. An associated system is also disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: April 7, 2017Date of Patent: July 24, 2018Assignee: Musclesound, Inc.Inventors: Pierre Sarnow, Sean M. McNamara, Thomas M. Moretto, Jr.

Patent number: 9883208Abstract: Systems and methods presented herein provide for maintaining data pertaining to asset insertions into COD content. In one embodiment, a system includes a database that maintains campaign data of a plurality of assets, and a processor that monitors insertions of at least a portion of the assets in a first COD content to record campaign data of the inserted assets. A storage module stores the recorded campaign data of the inserted assets in a list. The processor is also operable to detect a request for asset insertions in a second COD content, to determine that the database of campaign data is unavailable for the asset insertion request of the second COD content, to retrieve the list of campaign data from the storage module, and, in response to determining the unavailability of the database, to direct asset insertions in the second COD content based on the list of campaign data.Type: GrantFiled: September 27, 2012Date of Patent: January 30, 2018Assignee: Canoe Ventures LLCInventors: Christopher M Rippe, Jonathan E.
