  • Publication number: 20190255521
Abstract: The disclosure relate generally to structures, forms, and monoliths, and methods of preparing the same. This disclosure can produce uniform structured passageways or channels of active material, including adsorbent or catalyst, by imprinting or molding features into a paste on a support that can be subsequently assembled into a gas or liquid treating structure, i.e. a monolith. The paste, which can include an active material, binder, and other potential additives, can be applied to the support or pushed through a support (as in a mesh) as a thin film. The paste can be imprinted, stamped, shaped or otherwise handled to give features of desired height, shape, width, and positioning. When stacked or rolled, the features of one layer contact a subsequent layer, which seal to form passageways. The resulting structure can have high cell-density (>1000 cells per square inch) and a large volume fraction of active material.

  • Publication number: 20190228632
Abstract: A patient fall detection system includes a computer and multiple transceivers mounted at fixed locations in a healthcare facility. The transceivers are electronically coupled to the computer. A patient identification tag is worn by a patient and includes a tag transceiver. The high-accuracy locating system monitors a location of the patient ID tag via signals from the tag transceiver to determine whether a patient has entered a bathroom. The computer monitors at least one of an elevation of the patient ID tag in the bathroom, an elevation drop of the patient ID tag in the bathroom, or a time that the patient ID tag has been in the bathroom to determine whether the patient has fallen.

  • Publication number: 20190229897
Abstract: Technologies for accelerated key caching in an edge hierarchy include multiple edge appliance devices organized in tiers. An edge appliance device receives a request for a key, such as a private key. The edge appliance device determines whether the key is included in a local key cache and, if not, requests the key from an edge appliance device included in an inner tier of the edge hierarchy. The edge appliance device may request the key from an edge appliance device included in a peer tier of the edge hierarchy. The edge appliance device may activate per-tenant accelerated logic to identify one or more keys in the key cache for eviction. The edge appliance device may activate per-tenant accelerated logic to identify one or more keys for pre-fetching. Those functions of the edge appliance device may be performed by an accelerator such as an FPGA. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 10362256
Abstract: Signals representative of total photocharge integrated within respective image-sensor pixels are read out of the pixels after a first exposure interval that constitutes a first fraction of a frame interval. Signals in excess of a threshold level are read out of the pixels after an ensuing second exposure interval that constitutes a second fraction of the frame interval, leaving residual photocharge within the pixels. After a third exposure interval that constitutes a third fraction of the frame interval, signals representative of a combination of at least the residual photocharge and photocharge integrated within the pixels during the third exposure interval are read out of the pixels.

  • Patent number: 10356350
Abstract: Photocharge is accumulated within an image sensor pixel array during a first exposure interval. At conclusion of the first exposure interval, accumulated photocharge is discarded from a first subset of the pixels to emulate absence of incident light with respect to those pixels. After discarding accumulated photocharge from the first subset of the pixels, first and second readout signals are generated, the first readout signals corresponding to respective pixels not included in the first subset and indicative of photocharge accumulated therein, and the second readout signals corresponding to respective pixels included in the first subset.

  • Patent number: 10344075
Abstract: T cell receptors (TCRs) that have specificity for the WT1 antigen are provided. The TCRs include higher affinity TCRs that were engineered through the generation of mutational libraries of TCRs in a single-chain format, followed by selection for improved stability and affinity on the surface of yeast (i.e. directed evolution). In embodiments, the TCRs can be used in soluble form for targeted delivery in vivo, or as genes introduced into T cells in an adoptive T cell setting.

  • Patent number: 10331906
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed toward publication and/or removal of attributes in a multi-user computing environment. In some embodiments, a consumer information manager (CIM) associated with a user of a multi-user computing system may receive a notification, from a dimension authority (DA), of a decrease in a population count of users of the computing system who have published an attribute within the computing system, and may determine whether the user has published the attribute. In response to receiving the notification of the decrease and determining that the user has published the attribute, the CIM may determine a likelihood that continued publication of the attribute will enable identification of the user, compare the likelihood to a threshold, and, when the likelihood exceeds the threshold, remove the attribute from publication. Other embodiments may be disclosed and/or claimed.

  • Patent number: 10299941
Abstract: A prosthetic arm apparatus comprising a plurality of interconnected segments that provide the prosthetic arm apparatus with substantially the same movement capability and function as a human arm. The segments are connected to one another and connectable to a harness mount that may be adorned by the user. Each segment of the plurality of segments includes an actuator providing a portion of the movement capability, and each segment may operate independently of each of the other segments of the plurality of segments. One segment of the plurality of segments includes a non-backdriving clutch that transfers power from the actuator to an output interface of the segment when the actuator is actuated to generate movement of the output interface in either of two opposing directions and prevents backward transfer of power from the output interface to the actuator of the segment in both of the two opposing directions.
