  • Patent number: 11578637
Abstract: An exhaust gas after-treatment device in a driveline application, which device comprising a casing having an upper surface, a lower surface and side surfaces connecting the upper and lower surfaces to form an enclosed volume. The casing is provided with an exhaust inlet opening and an exhaust outlet opening wherein exhaust gas is supplied to and discharged from the casing through the upper surface. At least one of the exhaust inlet and outlet openings is operatively connected to its corresponding inlet or outlet pipe by a pipe connector having a first opening facing the casing and a second opening facing away from the casing. The at least one pipe connector is arranged to be rotatable about the central axis of its associated inlet or outlet opening in the casing into a predetermined angular position relative to the opening in the casing.

  • Patent number: 9050903
Abstract: A method of regulating a torque output of a vehicle powertrain includes generating a plurality of torque requests and associating each of the plurality of torque requests with one of a plurality of arbitration domains to form torque request sets associated with each of the plurality of arbitration domains. A first torque request set is arbitrated within a first of the plurality of arbitration domains to provide a first torque request. The first torque request is introduced into a second torque request set associated with a second of the plurality of arbitration domains. The second torque request set is arbitrated within the second arbitration domain to provide a second torque request. A torque source is regulated based on the second torque request.

  • Patent number: 9002550
Abstract: A torque estimation system for a vehicle comprises an operating parameter module, a torque estimation module, and an estimation control module. The operating parameter module determines an estimated engine operating parameter based on engine speed. The torque estimation module estimates engine torque based on the engine speed and the estimated engine operating parameter. The estimation control module provides a plurality of engine speeds to the operating parameter module and the torque estimation module to determine estimated engine torque as a function of engine speed.

  • Patent number: 5471717
Abstract: A tongue forming part of a safety belt is provided with two apertures adapted to receive the safety belt. The tongue has a portion adapted to be received and retained by a buckle forming part of a safety belt system. The tongue carries a clamping element adapted to be moved, by pressure applied to the clamping by the safety belt, to a clamping position in which the clamping element clamps part of a safety belt locking means are provided movable between a locking position and a release position. When the locking means are in the locking position the clamping element is prevented from moving to the clamping position. However, when the locking means are in the release position the clamping element may move to the clamping position.
