Abstract: In accordance with the principles of the invention a network based social cataloging service is provided that automatically catalogs product information for products that a user views while “window shopping” on the network for retrieval at a later time. Further in accordance with the principles of the invention, a network-based community is provided where a user's cataloged information saved while window-shopping, is shared with other members of the community.
