Publication number: 20240106853Abstract: Techniques are described for improving real-time application protection (RTAP) systems (e.g., web application firewalls (WAFs), runtime application self-protection (RASP) systems). In particular, a device within a trusted network may monitor or test the configuration settings of the RTAP systems, network traffic into the RTAP systems, and/or log information from the RTAP systems. For example, the device may detect drift in a configuration for a particular RTAP system by comparing the configuration settings of the RTAP systems to baseline configuration settings and classifying any detected drift as good drift or bad drift. In some examples, the device may maintain the configuration settings or set the configuration settings as the baseline configuration settings when the configurations settings include good drift from the baseline configuration settings. In other examples, the device may set the configuration settings with the bad drift to the baseline configuration settings.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 4, 2023Publication date: March 28, 2024Inventors: Matthew Thomas McDonald, Jeremy W. Publication number: 20240078916Abstract: Aerial vehicles are assigned to routes within a transportation network based on a state of charge, state of power, and/or state of health for the aerial vehicle. Such aspects can be modeled based on one or more statistical models and/or machine-learned models, among other examples. As another example, an energy budget is used to ensure that the state of charge, state of power, and/or state of health of the aerial vehicle during and/or after traveling the route remains within the energy budget. A payload is assigned to a route and an associated aerial vehicle, thereby generating an itinerary. In examples, the itinerary is validated by the aerial vehicle to ensure that the aerial vehicle is capable of traveling the route with the payload. In examples where the aerial vehicle rejects the itinerary, the itinerary is assigned to another aerial vehicle and a new itinerary is identified for the aerial vehicle.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 21, 2023Publication date: March 7, 2024Inventors: Adam Thomas Chase, Ian Andreas Villa, Luke Asher Wilhelm, Jon Petersen, Robert Alan McDonald, Mark Douglass Moore, Celina Mikolajczak

Publication number: 20230237990Abstract: A speech processing model may be trained using pseudo tokens. Training a speech processing model with pseudo tokens may allow for training with a smaller amount of labeled training data and accordingly lower costs. A set of pseudo tokens may be determined by computing feature vectors from unlabeled training data, clustering the feature vectors, and performing token compression using the clustered feature vectors. A first speech processing model may be trained using unlabeled training data by determining sequences of pseudo tokens corresponding to the unlabeled training data. A second speech processing model may be initialized using the first speech processing model and then trained using labeled training data. The second speech processing model may then be deployed to a speech processing application.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 7, 2022Publication date: July 27, 2023Inventors: Felix Wu, Kwangyoun Kim, Ryan Thomas McDonald, Kilian Quirin Weinberger, Kyu Jeong Han, Yoav Artzi

Patent number: 11280769Abstract: The disclosure relates to a system for liquid sample introduction into a chromatography system. The system includes a syringe, a first valve in fluid communication with the syringe, a second valve in fluid communication with the sample, a vessel located between, and in fluid communication with, the first and second valves, a third valve in fluid communication with the first valve, the second valve and a chromatography column, and a pump in fluid communication with the third valve and a mobile phase. When the valves are in a first position the syringe draws the sample into the vessel. The mobile phase flows to the chromatography column. When the valves are in a second position, a portion of the mobile phase flows into the vessel, mixing with and pressurizing the sample. When the valves are in a third position, the mixed and pressurized sample flows to the chromatography column.Type: GrantFiled: November 8, 2019Date of Patent: March 22, 2022Assignee: Waters Technologies CorporationInventors: Jason Hill, Abhijit Tarafder, Michael O. Patent number: 11105778Abstract: A method for injecting a diluted sample in a chromatography system includes merging a flow of a sample and a flow of a diluent to form a flow of a diluted sample. A dilution ratio of the diluted sample equals a sum of the volumetric flow rates of the sample and the diluent divided by the volumetric flow rate of the sample. The diluted sample is stored in a holding element before injection into a chromatographic system flow. Sample dilution occurs under low pressure relative to the chromatographic flow thereby allowing lower pressure sample and diluent syringes to be used. Other benefits include reduced compressibility and a reduction in leaks due to the lower pressure operation. The method avoids problems associated with manual techniques which can introduce errors due, for example, to loss of sample, sample precipitation and adsorption of sample to vials.Type: GrantFiled: May 4, 2017Date of Patent: August 31, 2021Assignee: WATERS TECHNOLOGIES CORPORATIONInventors: Martin Gilar, Richard W. Patent number: 10832859Abstract: A hardened inductive device and systems and methods for protecting the inductive device from impact is provided. The inductive device is hardened with protective coating and/or an armor steel housing. The hardened inductive device is protected from impact by an object such as a bullet and leakage of dielectric fluid is prevented. Acoustic and vibration sensors are provided to detect the presence and impact, respectively, of an object in relation to the inductive device housing.
