  • Patent number: 9289621
Abstract: A defibrillator system optimizes the timing and manner of applying a defibrillator charge to a patient based upon data provided to the defibrillator from a utility module or one or more external devices. A parameter module on the utility module provides the defibrillator with patient parameter information. Devices external to the utility module may provide the utility module with coaching data that the utility module may pass through to the defibrillator as a proxy to the external devices. The utility module may also provide external devices with patient data that the utility module may pass through to the external devices as a proxy to the defibrillator on a scheduled or other basis. The utility module may additionally provide a reserve of power to enable defibrillators to be used where power is unavailable and to enable defibrillators to deliver multiple charges more readily anywhere, anytime.

  • Patent number: 9287912
Abstract: One aspect of the present invention includes a radio frequency (RF) receiver having a first mixer and a second mixer. The first mixer may be an I-mixer and the second mixer a Q-mixer for downconverting the received RF signal. An impedance circuit is disposed between the first mixer and the second mixer to decouple the channels. In another aspect of present invention, the RF receiver includes a digital filter having at least one complex coefficient. The digital filter exhibits asymmetrical frequency response, and may be used to compensate the asymmetrical frequency response of another filter in the RF receiver.

  • Patent number: 9077420
Abstract: One aspect of the present invention includes an RF including a first mixer receiving an RF signal. A second mixer also receivers the RF signal. A resonant circuit couples to a common input of the first mixer and the second mixer. A second polyphase reactive circuit coupled to an output of the second mixer. In one embodiment, a direct current circuit coupled to the output of the first mixer, injecting direct current into the system. The resonant circuit is set at a resonance frequency such that a voltage across the second polyphase reactive circuit is a predetermined voltage.

  • Patent number: 8781897
Abstract: A media targeting system and method uses visual pattern recognition techniques in association with consumer transactions as the basis for building a targeting database, which is then later used for automated consumer identification and targeted advertising purposes. The invention solves the problem of generating a large scale, robust media targeting database without relying on active or passive participation by consumers. Also disclosed are other demographics estimation systems and methods which facilitate less expensive media targeting capabilities which can be used in conjunction with the more robust transaction associated method disclosed.

  • Patent number: 8717081
Abstract: A non-overlapping clock generator including an enabling module and N pulse-generating modules connected as a ring is provided. When the ith input node has a high voltage level, the enabling module enables the ith pulse-generating module so as to trigger the ith pulse-generating module to discharge the ith input node. After the ith input node has been discharged to a low voltage level, the ith pulse-generating module charges the ith output node to the high voltage level.

  • Patent number: 7809349
Abstract: The present invention is an RF filter that translates impedances of an IF circuit to create a filter with an RF center frequency having the high Q roll-off characteristics of an IF filter. The RF filter is self-aligned with the frequency of an RF local oscillator. The RF filter has an impedance divider, which is formed by coupling an RF impedance circuit to a translated IF impedance circuit. The translated IF impedance circuit includes an RF passive mixer and an IF impedance circuit. The mixer translates the impedance of the IF impedance circuit by mixing an RF input signal with an RF local oscillator signal, which determines the RF center frequency. Filtered RF signals may be provided by the impedance divider. Filtered IF signals may be provided by the IF impedance circuit. To effectively translate and preserve the IF impedance characteristics, the IF impedance circuit presents a high impedance at harmonics of the RF local oscillator signal.
