  • Patent number: 8579169
Abstract: A mounting system for removably mounting an accessory on a fender of a motorcycle includes a mounting bracket, mounting tab, and latch. The mounting bracket is configured to be mounted on the fender. The mounting bracket includes a base plate, cover plate, standoff, mounting slot, upper recess and lower recess. The base plate is disposed upon the fender. The cover plate is configured to cover a portion of the base plate. The standoff is sandwiched between the base plate and the cover plate. The mounting slot is disposed between the base plate and the cover plate. The mounting slot is generated by the standoff being disposed between the base plate and cover plate. The upper recess is disposed at an upper edge of the mounting bracket between the base plate and the cover plate. The lower recess is disposed at a lower edge of the mounting bracket between the base plate and the cover plate. The mounting tab is configured to mate with the mounting slot. • Publication number: 20080089361
Abstract: Methods for synchronously transmitting control data from a first device to a second device in a streaming data network and for transferring non-addressed data through a streaming data network are disclosed. A first device may insert an identifier identifying a second device into data packets transmitted over a stream data network. A first acknowledgment may be received from the second device at the first device. At least a portion of the control data may be inserted into the data packets at least until a second acknowledgement is received at the first device. The previous step may be repeated with additional portions of the control data until all control data has been transmitted to the second device. The identifier may then be removed from the data packets at least until a third acknowledgment is received at the first device.

  • Publication number: 20070127405
Abstract: Method and systems for aligning a clock at a second device based on a reference clock at a first device and reducing clock rate jitter between asynchronous devices in a network are disclosed. A transmission latency may be determined between the first device and the second device. A data packed may be received containing information pertaining to the reference clock at the second device. The phase of the clock may then be adjusted at the second device based on the information contained in the packet and the transmission latency.

  • Publication number: 20070122433
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for producing a less-painful immunogenic composition of a hydrophobic protein in a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier suitable for administering to a mammal, comprising the steps of (a) solubilizing said hydrophobic protein with a zwitterionic detergent to make a first composition; (b) altering said first composition, such that the altered composition produces a reduction in pain as measured in the rat footpad model as compared to said first composition.

  • Publication number: 20070104332
Abstract: A method and system for performing automatic plug detection are disclosed. When a plug is inserted into an audio jack, the plug may be detected. Detection may occur at power up or upon insertion. When a plug is detected, a determination may be made as to whether the plug is a stereo plug or a mono plug. If the plug is determined to be a mono plug, audio information may be transmitted substantially using a first audio channel, such as a left audio channel. In contrast, if the plug is determined to be a stereo plug, audio information may be transmitted using the first audio channel and a second audio channel, such as a right audio channel.

  • Publication number: 20060282748
Abstract: A data transmission and distribution system includes a series of payloads, where each of the payloads is formed from bits of audio or video information, and where different levels of protection are applied to different sets of bits in each payload. The system divides the bits associated with each payload into high priority bits and low priority bits and forms a group of check bits for each payload by applying an error correction algorithm to the high priority bits in the payload. The system also forms each payload from a first set of high priority bits, check bits and low priority bits and a redundant set of high priority bits and check bits and transmits the payloads formed from the first set of the high priority bits, the check bits, the low priority bits and the redundant set of high priority bits and check bits.

  • Patent number: 7130382
Abstract: An apparatus, method, and computer readable medium for automatically notifying a network administrator of a mismatch between a current software version level in a telecommunications switch and a corresponding entry in a database. The apparatus includes a computer for querying the telecommunications switch for the current software version level of the switch and for querying the database, wherein the database is associated with a switch translation system and the database includes an entry associated with the software version level of the switch. The computer compares the current software version level of the switch with the database entry associated with the software version level of the switch.

  • Patent number: 7072881
Abstract: A method for managing telecommunications reports comprises receiving customer data in a mainframe database system based on a plurality of customer submissions. A report is generated in the mainframe database system based on the customer data in the mainframe database system. Summaries of the generated reports are printed to a printer emulator. Selected data from the printed report summaries are imported into a spreadsheet. A terminal emulator connects to the mainframe database system and prints selected reports to the printer emulator. The printed reports are stored on a storage device.

  • Publication number: 20060083259
Abstract: Methods and systems for forming data packets from a plurality of devices are disclosed. A first data slot may be assigned to a device that receives first data from its input interface. A second data slot may be assigned to a second device that receives second data from its input interface. The first data and the second data may be converted into different or similar digital formats. A packet, including the converted first data in the first data slot may be transmitted from the first device and received at the second device. The second device may update the packet to include the converted first data in the first data slot and the converted second data in the second data slot. The second device may then transmit the updated packet. A device may copy, convert and transmit data from either data slot via an output interface associated with the device.
