  • Publication number: 20190160274
Abstract: Disclosed herein are transdermal microneedling devices that generate and emit low RF energy. Such a microneedling device may comprise a drive motor, drive circuitry for controlling the drive motor, and a drive linkage located on the drive motor rotor. The microneedling device may also comprise a power source capsule comprising a battery and associated power management circuitry. Also included may be a needle cartridge coupled to the main body, and comprising a drive shaft and a needle unit coupled to a distal end of the drive shaft to move therewith, where the needle unit has at least one needle extending therefrom. The drive shaft may comprise a linkage member configured to engage the drive linkage of the drive motor, and be configured to be driven by the drive motor and thereby drive movement of the needle unit such that the at least one needle extends beyond and retracts within the distal end of the needle cartridge.

  • Publication number: 20180303542
Abstract: Disclosed is a system and related method for delivering RF energy to a vaginal cavity for vaginal rejuvenation. The RF energy delivery system may comprise an RF energy delivery device, further comprising a plurality of RF electrodes, an RF oscillator for generating RF power, an RF amplifier connected to the RF oscillator, a programmable controller; and a power source. The RF oscillator may be configured to generate an RF signal based on information sent from the programmable controller. The RF amplifier may receive the generated RF signal and may be configured to amplify the RF signal to an appropriate power level for the plurality of RF electrodes, and the plurality of RF electrodes may receive the amplified RF signal and generate RF energy from the amplified RF signal.

  • Publication number: 20180280059
Abstract: Disclosed is a system and related method for delivering platelet-rich plasma to the vaginal cavity to promote vaginal rejuvenation. Such a system may comprise an outer balloon comprising a plurality of recessed microneedles, an inner balloon inside the outer balloon, a PRP pump, connected to a space between the outer balloon and the inner balloon and connected to a PRP source, and a fluid pump, connected to an opening of the inner balloon. The PRP pump of the system may inject PRP from the PRP source into the space between the outer balloon and the inner balloon, and then the fluid pump may inflate the inner balloon to force the PRP inside the space between the outer balloon and the inner balloon through the plurality of recessed microneedles into the vaginal cavity.

  • Patent number: 9636491
Abstract: Disclosed herein are unique needle cartridges for use with transdermal microneedling devices, and prevent backflow of liquid(s) from the skin of a patient. One embodiment may comprise a base portion and a sleeve coupled to the base portion. The needle cartridge may also comprise a needle unit disposed at the distal end of the base portion and within the sleeve, wherein the needle unit comprises at least one needle ending therefrom. Also, the needle cartridge comprises a drive shaft disposed through the base portion and coupled to the needle unit, and configured to be driven reciprocally along a longitudinal axis of the base portion and thereby move the needle unit reciprocally such that the needles of the needle unit extend beyond and retract within the sleeve. Such needle cartridges would include an absorbing barrier disposed within the base portion to prevent the backflow of liquid(s) from the needle unit by absorbing such liquid(s).
