  • Patent number: 9933256
Abstract: A system is provided for programming workpiece feature inspection operations for a coordinate measuring machine (CMM). The system includes a computer-aided design (CAD) file processing portion and a user interface which includes an editing user interface portion and an execution time indicator. The CAD file processing portion analyzes an input CAD file to automatically determine workpiece features. The editing user interface portion includes an editable plan representation including an editable set of the workpiece features to be inspected. The execution time indicator is indicative of an estimated inspection program execution time for operating the CMM to execute a corresponding workpiece inspection program. The execution time indicator is automatically updated in response to a utilization of one of a first set of operations to modify the current workpiece feature inspection plan, so as to automatically indicate the estimated effect of the modification on the inspection program execution time.

  • Publication number: 20060203946
Abstract: A channelized receiver with improved signal detection and discrimination. Separate threshold values are computed for each channel in the receiver. The values are computed dynamically in response to detected signal levels. In channels where energy is likely the result of spectral “splatter” from other channels, the threshold is set relatively high. In other channels, the threshold may be set relatively low, thereby increasing the chances that the receiver will detect relatively low level signals while reducing the probability that splatter or other anomalies will be falsely identified as a signal.

  • Publication number: 20060182209
Abstract: A receiver operating at high frequencies with low measurement error. Multiple frequency measurements are made using digital signal processing. Each measurement is based on sampled data acquired with a low resolution but high sample rate analog to digital converter. The converters are clocked at sampling frequencies that are not rationally related, causing the frequency measurement error of each circuit to differ at every frequency. Based on the multiple frequency measurements, the receiver selects an output frequency.

  • Publication number: 20060109171
Abstract: The time it takes to determine whether a signal is a linear or non-linear frequency modulated (FM) signal is significantly reduced by continuously updating upper and lower frequency-related bounds (e.g., slopes) used in determining whether a signal is a linear or non-linear FM signal in real-time. The techniques provided by the present invention also require substantially less memory to determine whether a signal is a linear or non-linear FM signal.
