Patent number: 10473676Abstract: The invention concerns a laboratory product transport element for a laboratory transport system with an energy receiver and/or energy accumulator to provide drive power, at least one signal receiver to receive control signals, a control unit to generate drive signals as a function of at least one control signal obtained from the at least one signal receiver, movement devices for independent movement of the laboratory product transport element on a transfer path as a function of the drive signals of the control unit, in which the drive devices are driven by the drive power and at least one holder to hold a laboratory product being transported. The invention also concerns a laboratory transport system with at least one laboratory product transport element according to an embodiment of the invention and a transfer path arrangement. The invention also concerns methods for operation of laboratory transport systems according to an embodiment of the invention.Type: GrantFiled: May 4, 2017Date of Patent: November 12, 2019Assignee: Beckman Coulter, Inc.Inventors: Michael Eberhardt, Martin Mueller, Sebastian Wiessner, Thomas Moix, Guillaume Ding, Jurjen Zoethout

Patent number: 10114462Abstract: A device for sports applications is provided having a housing adapted to be worn on and fixed to the body of a person, and in particular a housing adapted to be worn on and to be fixed to an arm of a person. The device includes a processor and inertial sensors. Inertial sensors are arranged within the housing and connected to the processor and a predetermined characteristic movement of the body of the person is detectable. The detection of the movement provides a user input and/or starts a time frame for entering a command or information into the device during the time frame and the processor updates its state depending on the command or information received during the time frame. By this device it is possible to enter commands or information almost without distraction to the user so that commands or information can be entered during a sports activity, for example during a tennis match.Type: GrantFiled: May 5, 2014Date of Patent: October 30, 2018Assignee: Kitris AGInventors: Christian Züger, Xavier Michelon, Thomas Moix
