  • Publication number: 20050224515
Abstract: A cartridge for use in conjunction with a container to dispense a liquid in the cartridge into the container. The cartridge is comprised of a hollow body defined by an enclosing wall that has a closure at an upper end and a lower cartridge wall that is integral to the hollow body, but of a thickness less than that of the hollow body enclosing wall. The lower cartridge wall of a reduced thickness is in a narrowed section of the hollow body. A closure is sealed onto an upper part of the hollow body and has a funnel-like shape with a lower funnel wall. The funnel wall is of a reduced thickness as compared to the remainder of the closure. A flange on the hollow body rests on a container upper surface to support the cartridge on the container. A container closure will hold the cartridge in place during use. A dispensing pump on the container closure has a dip tube which pierces the funnel wall and cartridge wall and thereby dispense the cartridge contents into the container.

  • Patent number: 5052595
Abstract: A closure cap for a container has a mounting part mounted on the container neck with a closure element over the container opening surrounded by small openings, and a movable part for covering the openings around the closure element when it is moved from an opened to a closed position. The movable part has a passage formed by walls in the shape of a truncated cone defining an external orifice of small openings of a given open area and an internal orifice of a larger open area which is recessed inwardly from the external orifice. The difference in orifice area creates a suction force to suck fluid back into the orifices when the container is returned to the upright position.

  • Patent number: 4979653
Abstract: A closure cap for a fluid container has a mounting part mounted on the container neck with a closure element of a given diameter fixedly positioned on the center axis thereof, and a movable part covering the container opening and movable along the center axis relative to the mounting part. The movable part has walls defining an external orifice on the center axis and an internal orifice recessed a distance inwardly from the external orifice. In one embodiment, the closure element is pulled to the closed position, and pushed to the opened position, and has a shape defining a labyrinth that creates a suction force which prevents fluid from leaking from the container when the container is righted.
