  • Patent number: 9049291
Abstract: A method of indexing recordings of contact center communication sessions is described. The method allows for a recording to be indexed with metadata reflecting a time-varying characteristic of one or more of the parties of the communications session, e.g. the mood of a caller, the current location of a caller. The indexing of recordings with such information allows for more granular search of recordings, in order to find particular call conditions. This can be useful from the point of view of education and training of new call center operatives, and for assessment of call center performance.

  • Patent number: 8873737
Abstract: A system for routing communication sessions between a contact and an agent of a contact center is disclosed. The system is arranged to simultaneously connect more than one contact to an agent of the contact center capable of simultaneously handling a plurality of contacts. Typically, the contacts comprise non-voice contacts The system is arranged to obtain a respective time-varying characteristic associated with the various agents indicating an intermediate level of activity for the agents between the agents being unoccupied and the agents being fully occupied with handling contacts. New contacts received at the contact center are routed to an agent based at least partially the time-varying characteristic for the agents.

  • Publication number: 20130077043
Abstract: The present invention comprises a universal, modular and multi-functional eye wear system, including a pair of lenses, a pair of temples pivotally connected to the outer part of the lenses, a tail accessory connector connected to the distal end of the temple and an interchangeable multi-functional tail accessory. The universal modular design allows for a multitude of interchangeable options for color, style, prescription, comfort and functionality. The tail accessory connector allows for constrained or unconstrained relative axial rotation between the temple and the tail accessory. The eye wear system gains additional functionality through the integration of a optional bridge connector, or optional wireless communication retention capabilities. This invention has novel and superior functionality, operational flexibility and consumer features over existing products and helps to improve safety of roadways for drivers and pedestrians that use digital communications devices and eye wear.

  • Patent number: 8382706
Abstract: Certain embodiments of the present invention provide systems and methods for catheter input management. Certain embodiments provide a user interface system facilitating catheter monitoring. The system includes a virtual catheter input module (CIM) corresponding to and representing a physical CIM that is adapted to be connected to at least one catheter. The system also includes a configuration module establishing a catheter configuration for the virtual CIM based on a plurality of configuration settings for a catheter channel. At least one catheter channel is assigned to a virtual input port on the virtual CIM. The configuration module applies the catheter configuration for at least one catheter channel when a catheter is connected to a physical input port on the physical CIM corresponding to the virtual input port on the virtual CIM.

  • Patent number: 7653013
Abstract: A method of conferencing involves forming a main conference between a plurality of users, providing a user with an option to request a subconference with a subset of other users, forming a subconference between said user and the subset of other users, and at least partially removing those users in the subconference from the main conference during the subsistence of the subconference. The conference is preferably a multimedia conference and the subconference can be conducted in an arbitrary mix of one or more of the media used in the main conference. Subconference participants have the option of monitoring proceedings in the main conference by receiving some of the main conference media signals while the subconference is in progress. The invention also provides conference servers, terminals and software for use in the subconferencing method.
