  • Patent number: 12292461
Abstract: At a switch terminal of a flyback converter in a discontinuous conduction mode in a power meter, an apparatus determines a resonant frequency of the flyback converter. • Publication number: 20250138035
Abstract: The disclosure is related to analyzing multi-well plates. The method includes analyzing, using a machine learning model, a sample inserted in an analyzer to determine whether a plate insert matches a multi-well plate (MWP). The method further includes, in response to the machine learning model a mismatch between the plate insert and MWP, generating an alert on the analyzer to notify a user indicating the mismatch. The method also includes, in response to the machine learning model determining that the plate insert matches the MWP, analyzing, using the machine learning model, the sample to determine whether the MWP is sealed with a foil. The method includes, in response to the machine learning model determining that the MWP is not sealed with foil, generating the alert on the analyzer, and otherwise, enabling the analyzer to perform its analysis of the sample.

  • Patent number: 12289800
Abstract: A communication function is provided. An activation request to enable a communication profile in a first user equipment is received at a mobile network operator (MNO). The communication profile is associated with a user. A maximum number of communication profiles associated with the user can be provided at the same time. A number of communication profiles which are associated with the user and which are currently enabled are determined by the MNO. In response to determining that the number of communication profiles which are associated with the user and which are currently enabled is equal to the maximum number of communication profiles are determined, a communication profile associated with the user in a second UE is disabled, and a communication profile associated with the user in the first UE is enabled.

  • Patent number: 12284368
Abstract: The way of predicting a current block by assigning constant partition values to the partitions of a bi-partitioning of a block is quite effective, especially in case of coding sample arrays such as depth/disparity maps where the content of these sample arrays is mostly composed of plateaus or simple connected regions of similar value separated from each other by steep edges. The transmission of such constant partition values would, however, still need a considerable amount of side information which should be avoided. This side information rate may be further reduced if mean values of values of neighboring samples associated or adjoining the respective partitions are used as predictors for the constant partition values.

  • Patent number: 12273540
Abstract: Although wedgelet-based partitioning seems to represent a better tradeoff between side information rate on the one hand and achievable variety in partitioning possibilities on the other hand, compared to contour partitioning, the ability to alleviate the constraints of the partitioning to the extent that the partitions have to be wedgelet partitions, enables applying relatively uncomplex statistical analysis onto overlaid spatially sampled texture information in order to derive a good predictor for the bi-segmentation in a depth/disparity map. Thus, in accordance with a first aspect it is exactly the increase of the freedom which alleviates the signaling overhead provided that co-located texture information in form of a picture is present. Another aspect pertains the possibility to save side information rate involved with signaling a respective coding mode supporting irregular partitioning.

  • Patent number: 12262740
Abstract: An inhaler vaporizer cartridge includes a housing body with a flow channel, a liquid storage tank, and a vaporizer unit. The vaporizer unit has a wick member and heating member and is liquid-permeable such that liquid is conveyed from the tank through the vaporizer unit to the flow channel. The housing body has a cavity forming the tank and a wick member receiving chamber, and housing is divided by an intermediate wall and a flow channel section. An access opening from the receiving chamber to the flow channel is formed in the intermediate wall and covered by the heating member. Granular grains in the receiving chamber form the wick member and bear against the heating member. The grains form microchannels and are retained by a cover element. An access opening, covered with a liquid-permeable grid structure, establishes a liquid connection from the tank to receiving chamber in the intermediate wall.

  • Publication number: 20250095275
Abstract: In various examples, images (e.g., novel views) of an object may be rendered using an optimized number of samples of a 3D representation of the object. The optimized number of the samples may be determined based at least on casting rays into a scene that includes the 3D representation of the object and/or an acceleration data structure corresponding to the object. The acceleration data structure may include features corresponding to characteristics of the object, and the features may be indicative of the number of samples to be obtained from various portions of the 3D representation of the object to render the images. In some examples, the 3D representation may be a neural radiance field that includes, as a neural output, a spatially varying kernel size predicting the characteristics of the object, and the features of the acceleration data structure may be related to the spatially varying kernel size.
