    Abstract: A method for producing a tertiary amine composition that includes the following Steps (1) to (3); Step (1): an amination step of reacting an aliphatic alcohol or an aliphatic aldehyde having 8 or more and 36 or less carbon atoms with dimethylamine in the presence of a metal catalyst; Step (2): a distillation step of separating a reaction liquid obtained through the Step (1) by distillation into a distilled product containing a low-boiling-point compound and a concentrate; and Step (3): a centrifugation step of separating the concentrate obtained through the Step (2) by a centrifugal force into a precipitate and a liquid phase containing the tertiary amine composition.
