The at least one overflow surface is disposed centrally in the mixing section, is directed along the main flow direction of the exhaust gas stream and has a multiplicity of closed depressions. The mixer configuration permits an excellent mixture of the exhaust gas stream with an additive, without generating a high flow resistance in the process. A motor vehicle having a mixer configuration is also provided.
