  • Publication number: 20100273024
Abstract: A dual-phase steel, a flat product produced therefrom and a process for the production thereof. The dual-phase steel has, in addition to a strength of at least 950 MPa and good deformability, a surface finish which, when a simple production process is used, makes it possible for the flat product produced from this steel to be formed into a complexly formed component, such as a part of a car bodywork, in an uncoated state or in a state provided with an anti-corrosion coating. The steel according to the invention comprises 20-70% martensite, up to 8% retained austenite and the remainder ferrite and/or bainite and comprises (in % by weight): C: 0.10-0.20%, Si: 0.10-0.60%, Mn: 1.50-2.50%, Cr: 0.20-0.80%, Ti: 0.02-0.08%, B: <0.0020%, Mo: <0.25%, Al: <0.10%, P: ?0.2%, S: ?0.01%, N: ?0.012%, the remainder iron and unavoidable impurities.

  • Patent number: 7780083
Abstract: The invention describes a device (10) and a method for protecting a self-service terminal against fraudulent installation of spying-out apparatuses for spying-out information, which device and method are based on the detection of metallic components of the spying-out apparatus. The device (10) comprises a control unit (12) and a peripheral (24) which is connected to the control unit (12) via an interface (26, 28, 30). The sound card (24) has an output for an analog output signal, to which output a coil (52, 56) for generating a primary electromagnetic field can be connected, and an input for an analog detection signal, to which input a second coil (60, 64) for detecting a secondary electromagnetic field, which is influenced by the interaction of the primary electromagnetic field with the metallic components of the spying-out apparatus, can be connected.

  • Patent number: 7721963
Abstract: The invention describes a device for a self-service terminal which contains a card reading device, for preventing the possibility of data on a card which is to be read by the card reading device 10 being spied-out by means of a spying-out apparatus which is installed in the vicinity of the card reading device 10. The device comprises a protection apparatus 26 for generating a protective electromagnetic field which is suitable for impairing the functioning of the spying-out apparatus. The protection apparatus is controlled by a control unit 24 of the card reading device, which control unit also controls a card transportation apparatus 18 and/or a reading apparatus 20, 22 of the card reading device, such that the protective field is changed during reading of the card in the card reading device 10 such that it is ensured that reading of the card in the card reading device 10 is not impaired.
