In order to create a storage operating device and a method for controlling a storage operating device that allows a guided stoppage of the storage operating device in the event of a failure of an electrical power supply network, at a lower cost than is the case in the prior art, the control device has means for detecting a power failure of the power supply network, for the purpose of monitoring the intermediate circuit voltage in the intermediate circuit.
