  • Publication number: 20240335201
Abstract: Exemplary microfracture pick systems may include a microfracture pick, a strike plate, and a punch extension. The strike plate may be secured to a handle of the microfracture pick, and the punch extension is connectable to the strike plate. The punch extension is configured to apply an “off-axis” impact force to the microfracture pick. The “off-axis” impact force is generally aligned with an axis of a strike tip of the microfracture pick, thereby substantially preventing the strike tip from skiving across a bone surface during surgical uses.

  • Patent number: 12101615
Abstract: A loudspeaker diaphragm (12) comprising a woven fibre body supports damping material (25), for example PVA polymer, on a rearward-facing surface (24). The woven fibre body may be formed of lengths (14) non-metallic fibre material (for example glass fibre) coating with a thin metal coating (32). The mass of the layer of damping material (25) may be less than the mass of the woven fibre body. An attractive sparkly looking loudspeaker diaphragm (12) may thus be provided which damps undesirable vibration whilst providing a flatter frequency-response curve (50).

  • Patent number: 12096933
Abstract: A surgical instrument comprised of an end effector having two opposing tissue-compression surfaces, wherein at least one of the tissue-compressing surfaces is movable with respect to the other of the tissue-compressing surfaces, and a handle connected to the end effector. The handle comprises a power source, an electric motor supplied with power from the power source, and a closure assembly comprising a drive part that is selectively moved by the motor along a drive-part axis and is operatively connected to the end effector such that, when the motor is supplied with power, the drive part advances the movable tissue-compressing surface towards the opposing tissue-compressing surface at a differential rate of speed dependent upon a position of the drive part along the drive-part axis.

  • Patent number: 12094334
Abstract: In at least one embodiment, a road alert system is provided. The system includes a loudspeaker array and at least one controller. The loudspeaker array transmits an audio output signal to a vehicle traveling on a road. The at least one controller is programmed to receive a message indicative of a warning for the vehicle for transmission on the audio output signal and to apply equalization parameters to the message to increase in-vehicle speech intelligibility of the audio output signal within the vehicle. The at least one controller is further programmed to transmit the audio output signal via the loudspeaker array in a beamforming mode to minimize noise pollution for objects positioned along the road.

  • Publication number: 20240294416
Abstract: Methods for producing articles from a glass tube include securing a working end of the glass tube in a glass tube holder of a converter having a plurality of processing stations including a heating station and a forming station. An initial length of the glass tube includes a plurality of serial segments, each of the plurality of serial segments corresponding to one article and having an article number. The methods include heating the working end of the glass tube in the heating station, adjusting an amount of heating of the glass tube in the heating station based on the article number at the working end of the glass tube, and forming a feature of the article in the forming station. • Publication number: 20240290491
Abstract: A predictive model can be applied to data representing a history of events for an entity to compute a value indicative of an outcome related to a reference time for that entity. The effect of an event from an entity's history of events on an outcome for the entity at a reference time can vary based on the type of event and relative time of that event with respect to the reference time. The effect of an event from an entity's history of events on an outcome for the entity also can vary due to other characteristics of the entity in combination with the event. These effects are captured as weights. For an entity, functions of sets of events from the history of events are computed for the entity and a set of weights for events. The computed results are inputs to the predictive model.

  • Publication number: 20240277914
Abstract: Cyclic aspiration system producing a cyclic aspiration pressure waveform of intermittent cyclic intervals of vacuum pressure below atmospheric pressure and positive pressure higher than vacuum pressure. The system including flexible inlet tubing connected in fluid communication between a vacuum pump and an aspiration catheter. A positive pressure pulse generator mechanism intermittently cyclically applies an external force compressing a section of the flexible inlet tubing reducing internal volume and displacing fluid collectable therein thereby generating a positive pressure pulse. Upon withdrawal of the external force applied, the flexible inlet tubing is configured to be forcibly restorable to a non-compressed state increasing the internal volume while reducing pressure therein until eventual regeneration of the vacuum pressure thereby minimizing recovery time and maximizing cycling frequency.
