  • Patent number: 9926956
Abstract: An apparatus comprises a housing comprising a housing first portion and a housing second portion. The housing first portion comprises a first joint portion overlapping a second joint portion of the housing second portion so as to form a housing joint. A clamp is positioned on the housing joint and comprises a base portion. A first surface of the base portion is positioned on the housing joint. A plurality of legs extend from the base portion towards the housing each of which are spaced from each other around the housing joint. A plurality of flange segments extend from each side of the base portion away from the housing. A band is positioned on a second surface of the base portion opposite the first surface and around the clamp. The band is positioned between the plurality of flange segments and operatively coupled to the housing via the clamp.

  • Publication number: 20080136117
Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed that includes a gasket having an annular shape characterized by an outer circumference and an inner circumference. The gasket is characterized by an inner thickness, proximate the inner circumference, tapering to an outer thickness, proximate the outer circumference. The inner thickness of the gasket is substantially greater than the outer thickness. A support member is integrated into the gasket to provide radial support to the gasket. In selected embodiments, one or more indexing features may also be integrated into the gasket to properly align and “clock” cylindrical sections sealed by the gasket.

  • Publication number: 20080136172
Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed that includes a gasket having an annular shape and characterized by an outer circumference and an inner circumference. The gasket is further characterized by an inner thickness, proximate the inner circumference, tapering to an outer thickness, proximate the outer circumference. The inner thickness of the gasket is substantially greater than the outer thickness. The gasket includes a first contact surface extending between the inner and outer circumferences, and a second contact surface, opposite the first contact surface, extending between the inner and outer circumferences.

  • Patent number: 6295364
Abstract: A digital voice enhancement communication system, including a simplex system, has first and second acoustic zones, and respective microphones and loudspeakers. A voice sensitive gated switch has a first mode supplying the output of a first microphone in the first zone over a first channel to a second loudspeaker in the second zone, and has a second mode supplying the output of a second microphone in the second zone over a second channel to the first loudspeaker in the first zone. First and second noise sensitive bandpass filters and first and second equalization filters are provided in the first and second channels, respectively. Each noise sensitive bandpass filter is a noise responsive highpass filter having a filter cutoff effective at elevated noise levels and reducing bandwidth and making more gain available, to improve intelligibility of speech of a person in the respective zone transmitted from the respective microphone to the loudspeaker in the other zone.
