  • Publication number: 20250047019
Abstract: A compliant pin including, but not limited to: a main section; and a first insertion section on a first end of the main section and configured to be inserted into a through-hole of a printed circuit board (PCB) to provide an electrical connection between the compliant pin and the PCB. The first insertion section includes, but not limited to: a contact portion; a first spring positioned, where the first spring is configured to be compressed during an insertion process and recover elasticity in an instance in which the first spring passes the through-hole of the PCB; and a second spring positioned, where in the instance in which the first spring passes the through-hole of the PCB, the second spring is configured to stop the first insertion section, and the first spring and the second spring constrain movement of the PCB.

  • Publication number: 20200386306
Abstract: An apparatus and method of transmission control includes a shift lever supported between gear positions P, R, N, D, and a sensor operably connected to a vehicle electrical system for generating a variable signal corresponding to the P, R, N, D gear positions. The electrical system is initially set to control shifting a transmission between P, R, N, and D gear positions based on initial P and D position-indicating signals and interpolated/proportional R and N position-indicated signals. The apparatus and method further include adjusting shifting control for improved shift location accuracy after worn shifter components have mechanically worn or electrically drifted, by determining “new” P and D gear positions when the shift lever is in component-worn P and D gear positions, respectively, and then calculating new R and N position-indicating signals.

  • Publication number: 20080120054
Abstract: The compass system of the present invention utilizes an improved calibration route in which a processing circuit of the compass recalibrates the compass each time three data points are obtained from a magnetic field sensor that meet predetermined criteria. One such criterion is that the three data points define corners of a triangle that is substantially non-obtuse. When three data points have been obtained that define a triangle meeting this criterion, the processing circuit calculates a center point for a circle upon which all three data points lie by solving the equation x2+y2+Ax+By+C=0 for A, B, and C, using the coordinate values (x,y) for the three data points and defining the center point as (?A/2, ?B/2).
