  • Publication number: 20250108561
Abstract: Techniques are described for fabricating parts in an additive fabrication device from a light-scattering build material, such as ceramic build materials. An additive fabrication device may comprise a container for holding a photo-polymerizable build material containing a light-scattering species such as ceramic particles. The bottom of the tank may comprise one or more light-absorbing additives that absorb a portion of the actinic radiation used to cure the build material. The one or more light-absorbing additives may include an absorptive dye, including inorganic pigments like carbon black, organic dyes, or other species.

  • Patent number: 12179426
Abstract: Techniques to allow an additive fabrication device to dynamically adjust the size of a post metering volume for adjusting pressure of source material in the volume. These techniques may allow for greater control of material extrusion through an orifice and thereby mitigate or avoid issues of lag time between starting and/or stopping extrusion and/or in which there is unwanted emission of source material through the orifice. In some cases, techniques for adjusting the size of the post metering volume may include operating an actuator arranged in a channel that is coupled to the post metering volume. In some cases, techniques for adjusting the size of the post metering volume may include having a stator that is at least partially arranged within a chamber that defines the post metering volume and is free to move within the chamber.

  • Publication number: 20240246293
Abstract: An improved additive fabrication device includes a build platform, a vessel designed to hold a liquid photopolymer, and an optical system featuring a micro-LED panel. The micro-LED panel, comprising multiple pixels, projects actinic energy toward the photopolymer in the vessel. The panel selectively activates pixels according to a mask pattern, enabling precise control over the fabrication process. This innovative device offers a streamlined approach to additive manufacturing, utilizing advanced optical technology for efficient and accurate production of complex structures.

  • Patent number: 4869262
Abstract: A measure of diastolic blood pressure is provided by the product of HR and TT wherein HR is a measured heart beat rate and TT is an elapsed time between emission of an electrocardiographic R wave and arrival of the consequent blood pressure pulse at a chosen blood vessel.Apparatus is disclosed for sensing HR and TT and displaying a value or index of diastolic blood pressure, which is intended to be worn on the wrist and may serve also as a timepiece.

  • Patent number: 4163447
Abstract: A heartbeat rate monitor has a light source, powered by a rechargeable battery, for transilluminating skin tissue. A semiconductor detector which produces an output signal in dependence on light originating from the light source and reflected from the skin tissue, and hence on changes in arterial blood flow, is additionally used, on exposure to ambient light, to produce a current for recharging the battery.
