    Abstract: A holder for securely holding pens and pencils, and the like, has a body with an elastic sheath attached so that pens and pencils, and the like, can be inserted easily into the sheath through mouths at either end of the sheath, be secured reliably in the sheath, and be removed easily from the sheath through either mouth. The holder also has a clip attached to the holder body so that the holder can be clasped over the edge of a belt or waist band or similar surfaces.
