  • Patent number: 5058832
Abstract: A trigger mechanism for an aerial device including a unitary housing having three longitudinal bores extending therethrough and a spring biased rod or wire-like mechanism which includes a plurality of bends forming various portions which can be inserted into such bores after such rod has been bent and a spring has been attached to such rod.

  • Patent number: 4043489
Abstract: A combination vent and shut off valve for use in conjunction with a vessel having pressurized fluid therein, comprising a stem having a hollow cylindrical body portion with its inner end connected to an opening in the vessel. A stem head portion extends from the outer end of the stem body, and has a hole extending therethrough in alignment with the hollow body, the head portion having an outer diameter greater than that of the hollow body so that a shoulder is formed where the stem body and stem head meet. The outer end of the head terminates in an annular guide member having a diameter greater than the head. The head is provided with a fluid feed slot connecting the head hole with the outside of the head. A resilient cap is assembled onto the stem for reciprocation thereon and comprises a cylindrical hollow body sized to slidably fit over the stem head guide, said cap body having a closed end and an open end.

  • Patent number: 3982534
Abstract: An intravenous administration system comprising three separate units adapted for cooperative use for specified intravenous medication. The apparatus comprises a primary I.V. set, a secondary or series I.V. set and a volumetric I.V. set. All sets are made up of modules some of which are common to each set thereby affording substantial savings in stocking of components. The primary I.V. set provides the standard basic I.V. fluid while the volumetric set may be used with the primary to provide introduction of a second medicament through the add-medication site of the primary set. Flow of the medicament from the volumetric set may be volumetrically and periodically controlled. If an added medicament of either compatible or non compatible nature is required, such may be administered by means of the secondary I.V. set which is connected to the primary set. The purpose of the secondary I.V. set is to provide economy in administration of fluids as the secondary I.V.

  • Patent number: 3949780
Abstract: A two piece check valve assembly comprising a retainer and a valve assembled thereto, the assembly having primary usage in hydraulic and pneumatic systems operating at a low differential pressure of fractions of ounces to over a hundred pounds per square inch. The check valve assembly comprises a retainer and a valve including a dome-shaped element and is adapted for use in a tubular member wherein the retainer grips the inner face of the tubular wall to position the valve assembly and the dome-shaped element fits against the inner wall of the tubular member. Pressure within the dome element causes it to expand and snugly engage the inner wall of the tubular member to cut off flow.

  • Patent number: 3942228
Abstract: A clamp adapted for mounting on a flexible tube to control flow therethrough, said clamp having a pair of parallel legs connected by a spring element whereby the legs may swing toward and away from each other, a flexible catch arm on one leg having a catch adapted to engage a latch on the other arm, cooperating cam means on the catch arm and latch to swing the catch arm away from the latch upon movement of the latch carrying leg toward the other leg whereby the catch is cleared by the latch which allows the catch arm to swing toward the latch and engage same to retain the legs in close position, this movement causing confronting clamping elements on the legs to compress the tubing therebetween to close off flow. Openings are provided in the catch arm and spring element to frictionally receive the flexible tube and retain the clamp on the tube thereby.
