    Abstract: This invention relates to improved in vitro immunoassay methods for detection of autoantibodies associated with autoimmune disease. More specifically, the invention relates to immunoassay methods which utilize a cell line stably transformed with a nucleic acid expressing an autoimmune antigen. This invention also relates to compositions comprising these cell lines and to kits containing such cell lines.
