  • Patent number: 11946503
Abstract: A connector is provided to attach a supported member to a supporting member, with the supported member being in sloped and skewed relation to the supporting member. The connector has back members attached to side members. A seat member attaches to the side members through a hinged connection. The seat member interfaces with the bottom face of the supported member and can be disposed at a sloped angle. A pair of seat side members extend from the seat member.

  • Patent number: 9183229
Abstract: There is disclosed a system and method for geotagging objects on a mobile handheld communication device. In an embodiment, the method comprises: providing a user interface with a plurality of user selectable options for obtaining geographic location coordinates; receiving a user selection of one of the plurality of options; and tagging an object with the geographic location coordinates obtained from the selected one of the plurality of options. In another embodiment, the method may further comprise obtaining from an active global positioning system (GPS) module the geographic location coordinates for a current location to tag the object. The method may further comprise providing previously saved geographic location coordinates to tag the object. The object may be an image object.

  • Patent number: 9118505
Abstract: A system and method are provided to organize updates on a mobile device. The organization of the updates can be controlled according to something detectable on the mobile device which can be correlated to something detectable in the updates. For example, updates to be displayed on the mobile device can be organized based on context provided by the mobile device, such that more relevant updates are distinguishable from those that may be less relevant. In this way, all updates are accessible to the user, but those that are deemed to be particularly relevant may be more visible and more easily accessed to avoid the need to sort through or scroll through large lists of new updates.

  • Patent number: 8914426
Abstract: Devices and methods are provided for managing the identity of media content data. A server node processes metadata associated with a plurality of media content data files to generate a corresponding master identifier for each of the media content data files. A client node then provides the server node a first set of metadata corresponding to a media content data file that has no associated master identifier. In turn, the server node processes the first set of metadata to identify a corresponding master identifier and a second set of associated metadata, which it provides to the client node. The client node processes the second set of metadata to identify a matching set of metadata stored in its database of identification data and metadata. If found, the client node associates the master identifier with a second media content data file corresponding to the matching set of metadata.

  • Patent number: 8200532
Abstract: An online system presents remote users with static incentives, dynamic incentives and the ability to create and submit customizable incentives related to goods or services of interest to the user. By using the incentive delivery system, the user can research goods or services of interest and in an interactive fashion create an incentive package most desirable to the user and submit same to a central location. The systems performs decisioning routines on submitted incentive requests and makes such requests available for review. Ultimately, the submitted requests may be accepted or rejected or a counter-incentive may be issued to the user for consideration. A manufacturer, such as an automobile manufacturer, can offer incentives direct to its consumers and enter into an electronic dialogue with its customers to help drive profits and sales in the most efficient manner.

  • Publication number: 20120105325
Abstract: A capacitive finger navigation input device uses a capacitive sensor array of capacitive sensing cells that includes only two capacitive sensing cells positioned along a linear direction. The capacitive finger navigation input device uses a drive circuit to drive at least one drive electrode of the capacitive sensor array and a sense circuit to sense mutual capacitance at each of the capacitive sensing cells of the capacitive sensor array to produce mutual capacitance signals, which are used to determine at least one of position and movement of a finger of a user with respect to the capacitive sensor array. The capacitive finger navigation input device may be used in a hand-held computing device and in a method for performing finger navigation.

  • Patent number: 4894136
Abstract: A method of removing a layer of cobalt from an underlying nickel surface of an article comprises the steps of immersing at least part of the article in an aqueous solution of a caustic alkali having a pH value not less than 12.5 and preferably not less than 14, and applying an electrical potential difference between the article and a counter electrode which acts as a cathode to strip the cobalt from the article leaving the nickel passive. The method is particularly suitable for removing a defective cobalt layer from a data storage disc so that the disc can be recoated.
