    Abstract: A novel apparatus for holding a fishing pole at least includes: a water-resistant holster member adapted to receive the handle end of a fishing pole; a first securing strap adapted to be coupled to the holster member and coupled around the waist of a user; and at least a second securing strap adapted to be coupled to the holster member and coupled to at least a second region of the user's body. The fishing pole is adapted to be held in place to allow the hands of the user to be freed for other tasks.
