  • Publication number: 20240116100
Abstract: A method for the manufacture of a bulkhead of a motor vehicle body and method for the manufacture of bulkheads of motor vehicle bodies of different types of motor vehicles. The front wheel arches of the motor vehicle body are at least partly formed by the bulkhead of the motor vehicle. A component with a spatial structure is manufactured from a two-dimensional metallic semi-finished product by forming, wherein the component forms at least part of the bulkhead. The component manufactured by the forming forms at least a large part of the bulkhead in relation to the area of the projection of the bulkhead in the longitudinal direction of the motor vehicle and extends at least over sections of both front wheel arches of the motor vehicle body.

  • Publication number: 20240116586
Abstract: A method for assembling a motor vehicle body, wherein the motor vehicle body has a front end structure with a bulkhead and a body area arranged in the longitudinal direction of the motor vehicle behind the bulkhead. The front end structure is pre-assembled separate from the body area before connecting the front end structure to the body area located behind the bulkhead. The separation between the pre-assembled front end structure and the body area is immediately in front of or behind the bulkhead.

  • Publication number: 20240092429
Abstract: A motor vehicle body having a lateral part structure, at least partly comprising a pillar outer shell, a pillar inner shell that is connected to the pillar outer shell, and a door hinge reinforcement element that is arranged in an intermediate space between the pillar outer shell and the pillar inner shell. The pillar inner shell and the pillar outer shell are designed such that the intermediate space has an access opening that leads directly to the region of the door hinge reinforcement element when the pillar inner shell and the pillar outer shell are in a state of having been brought together in the final assembly position.

  • Patent number: 10744834
Abstract: A pivot bearing for independent wheel suspension of a steerable front wheel of a vehicle having at least one upper bearing with a connection to a spring strut for attachment to the body. To improve the safety of the passenger cell in the event of a frontal collision, the connection has a separating device that brings about separation of the attachment of the pivot bearing to the spring strut and to the body of the vehicle at the upper bearing in the event of a frontal impact.

  • Patent number: 7672450
Abstract: The disclosure describes an active network interface device (NID) enclosure having a modular construction that provides flexibility to a vendor and permits independent access to technician-accessible connections and subscriber-accessible connections while promoting resistance to environmental and security threats. The active NID enclosure includes an electronics enclosure and an access enclosure. The electronics enclosure contains active electronic components for conversion of data carried on a network signal carrier into services for delivery to subscriber devices. The access enclosure includes two separate access compartments, having separate covers, for independent access to either network terminals or subscriber terminals.

  • Patent number: 7652390
Abstract: The invention is directed to an optical network terminal (ONT) for use in a passive optical network (PON) that provides reliable battery status reporting and, optionally, remote monitoring and configuration of an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) unit. In particular, the UPS unit provides power to the ONT via a power line and transmits data to the ONT via the power line. Generally, the described invention supports one-way or two-way communication of status, alarm, and configuration signals using a single power line. Specifically, such signals may be transmitted over the power line by inserting a carrier frequency, such as a carrier frequency of approximately 1 MHz, onto the power line. In this manner, the invention may provide a simple battery status monitoring system while also reducing the cost of installation.
