  • Publication number: 20230390908
Abstract: A hammer tacker comprises a housing, a staple holder, and a latch operatively connected to the staple holder. The latch comprises a pivotable press member that is movable about a pivot axis between a lock position and a release position. The pivotable press member is resiliently biased towards the lock position. An elongated body of the staple holder is biased towards a normal position and movable against such bias to a jam release position while the staple holder remains in the operative position. The elongated body has a rearward portion thereof extending in longitudinally overlapping relation with a rearward portion of the pivotable press member, such that pivotal movement of the pivotable press member towards the rearward portion of the elongated body causes the pivotable press member to be moved from the lock position to the release position.

  • Patent number: 11766772
Abstract: A hammer tacker includes an outer housing comprising a handle portion and a head portion, the outer housing formed from a fiber reinforced polymer material. The hammer tacker also includes an elongated staple holder carried at least partially within the outer housing, the elongated staple holder being slideable between a use position and a refill position. The outer housing having the fiber reinforced polymer material defines a channel extending through the handle portion and into the head portion, the channel configured to receive the staple holder. The staple holder is slidable along the channel of the outer housing between the use position and the refill position. The hammer tacker further includes a staple driver assembly operable to drive a staple from the staple holder into a workpiece.

  • Patent number: 11762761
Abstract: A system for generating synthetic test cases for fuzz testing. One example includes an electronic processor. The electronic processor is configured to pre-process training data, use the training data to train a discriminator DNN to evaluate a test case to determine whether the test case is likely to expose a software vulnerability, and use the discriminator DNN to train a generator DNN to generate a test case that is likely to expose a software vulnerability. The electronic processor uses the discriminator DNN to train the generator DNN by determining whether a test case generated by the generator DNN is likely to expose a software vulnerability and sending a determination of whether the test case generated by the generator DNN is likely to expose a software vulnerability to the generator DNN. The electronic processor is further configured to, when the generator DNN is trained, generate one or more test cases.

  • Patent number: 11739635
Abstract: A method and system for measuring drilling fluid filtrate. The method may comprise disposing a downhole fluid sampling tool into a wellbore at a first location, activating a pump to draw a solids-containing fluid disposed in the wellbore into the downhole fluid sampling tool, drawing the drilling fluid with the pump across the at least one filter to form a drilling fluid filtrate, drawing the drilling fluid filtrate with the pump through the channel to the at least one sensor section, and measuring the drilling fluid filtrate with the at least one sensor. A system may comprise a downhole fluid sampling tool. The downhole fluid sampling tool may comprise at least one multi-chamber section, at least one sensor section, at least one filter, a pump, and a channel.

  • Patent number: 11643928
Abstract: A siphon pump chimney can be used in a mini-drillstem test to increase formation fluid flow rates. A formation tester can be coupled to a siphon pump chimney via a wet connect assembly to transfer formation fluid from a fluid-bearing formation. The siphon pump chimney can receive the formation fluid through the wet connect and disperse the formation fluid into a drill pipe that is flowing drilling fluid. The siphon pump chimney can include check valves to prevent the drilling fluid from entering the siphon pump chimney. The siphon pump chimney can be configured to have a variable height that can reduce pressure within the siphon pump chimney to a pressure value that can be close to or less than the formation pressure, which can allow a pump to operate at high flow rates or be bypassed in a free flow configuration.

  • Patent number: 11633839
Abstract: A safety device for tackers includes a safety slide slidably connected to the outlet of the tacker and the safety slide has a stop protruding from the inside thereof. The rod has one end contacts the stop and the other end of the rod has a plastic tip connected thereto. An ignition spring is connected between the plastic tip and a safety switch. A recovery spring is connected to another position of the rod to position the rod. The safety slide is slidably connected to grooves of the tacker. When the safety slide contacts against an object to be stapled, the rod is pushed by the stop and activates the ignition spring to activate the safety switch so as to reduce the impact of the rod and the safety switch.
