  • Publication number: 20150115102
Abstract: A decompression panel includes a body portion having a first end and a second end opposing the first end. The decompression panel also includes a tab extending along the first end and a flange coupled to the body portion. The flange defines a slot adjacent the second end. The decompression panel is secured in an airplane cabin by the tab and slot features, such that unwanted access to areas behind such panels is prevented.

  • Patent number: 8848992
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of determining a susceptibility gradient map, the method comprising acquiring (300) a magnetic resonance k-space dataset, said dataset comprising magnetic resonance echo data, wherein a recursive iteration is used to determine the susceptibility gradient map. Further, the invention relates to a method of determining a susceptibility gradient map, the method comprising acquiring a magnetic resonance k-space dataset, said dataset comprising magnetic resonance echo data, wherein the acquired dataset comprises magnetic resonance echo data of multiple echoes with different echo times, wherein a susceptibility gradient map is determined separately for each echo time resulting in a temporary susceptibility gradient map, wherein the method further comprises calculating a total susceptibility gradient map by combining all determined temporary susceptibility gradient maps.

  • Publication number: 20140232403
Abstract: A probe unit (100) including a magnet (102, 103) generates a static magnetic B0 field in an examination region and a RF coil (105). An input-output module (201) includes a transmitter (203) which controls the RF coil (105) to excite resonance and cause echoes (210) and a receiver (204) which demodulates and digitizes the echoes (210). A data processing module (206) includes at least one processor programmed to calculate a T2 relaxation distribution plot from a digitized echo (210) train, calculate a first area under the fat peak on the T2 distribution plot, calculate a second area under a water peak on the T2 distribution plot, and normalize the first and second area to determine a fat-to-water ratio.

  • Publication number: 20060163046
Abstract: A switch system (10) for use with vehicular transmissions for providing an indication of transmission operation in which an electrically insulating ramp plate (14) is fixedly mounted on a face surface of an electrically conductive detent plate (12). Detent plate (12) has a shaft receiving bore (12f) formed in a hub (12e) that extends from a face surface and interfits with hub (16e) of the actuator plate. The detent plate is fixedly mounted to a rotatable shaft received in the bore of hub (12e) and is rotatably mounted relative to actuator plate (16). Ramp plate (14) has a plurality of openings each defined by a lifting ramp at two opposite ends and conductive leads mounted on the actuator plate, as by insert molding, extend into cut-outs formed in the actuator plate.

  • Publication number: 20050253666
Abstract: A system is provided for rapidly prototyping monolithic microwave integrated circuit modules to provide an experimental structure that can be physically made to operate by stereolithographically rendering an SLA part directly from the designer's drawings and by coating the part with a conductive layer, with the smoothness being better than 0.001 inch and with the dimensional accuracy being better than 3 mils for some applications. In one embodiment, the coating for the SLA model is made from either rhodium or gold having a thickness of less than 1/10,000th of an inch, with a nickel barrier being first deposited followed by the gold. The particular SLA plastic is a high temperature plastic to prevent bubbling during the metal deposition step which in one embodiment involves sputtering. The coated model has a microfinish of Ra<0.001 inch, with active devices being electrically attached to the coating through the use of conductive adhesives or eutectic solder.
