  • Publication number: 20050220285
Abstract: Method and device for energy saving in equipment of a service provider A method and a device are described for energy saving in equipment of a service provider (SP) which, with the aid of said equipment, provides a service in at least partially sequential order to multiple service users (SUx). Here, an appointment of a service user (SUx) with the service provider is entered in a queue (Q) and an address of the service user (SUx) in a telecommunications network is assigned to said appointment. An anticipated travel time of the service user (SUx) is additionally assigned to said appointment. In consequence, a message concerning the appointment is transmitted to the address of the service user (SUx), the appointment and the anticipated travel time being taken into account in determining the transmit time. It is thus ensured that the service user (SUx) is actually ready to use the service at an agreed appointment.

  • Publication number: 20030185350
Abstract: The invention relates to a method, according to which, tasks arriving from a switching facility (12) or from another location are accepted by a terminal (14), in particular, in the framework of a call distribution. A change of the occupancy state of the terminal (14) is effected upon the attainment and falling below of a predetermined number of tasks to be simultaneously processed. The change is noted in the switching facility (12) and in the terminal (14). The flawless execution of the change of the occupancy state is automatically monitored by a program located on the side of the terminal (14).

  • Publication number: 20030059027
Abstract: When a communications connection has been established within a communications network from an origin agent system, possibly via at least one intermediate agent system, to a target agent system, a decision is made in the target agent system, using a service identifier transmitted with a signaling message when the communications connection was established, whether the service to be switched will be performed in the target agent system or whether the communications connection for performing the service is to be switched back to at least one intermediate agent system or to the origin agent system.
