Abstract: A system for recording and tracking the processing of an object, such as a killed game animal, or other kind of object. An origin tag has a unique identifier and is attached to the object to be documented and recorded. A database maintains a central registry of the unique identifiers that have been issued on origin tags. The identifiers are disbursed to separate mobile devices, typically smart phones, allowing the user to update information to specific origin tags, without having an Internet connection to the central registry.
